No it doesn't.
PS3 and 360 have the same multiplats. PS3 has more exclusives.
Its a scientific fact.

Really, and what Xbox exclusives are coming out that will beat god of war, the last of us, and the guardian?

Either Halo, Forza or Gears.
Take your pick.

I agree with Flores, ps3 has murdered the Xbox in the last few yeArs when it came to games.

That is true. I just think more people buy 360 games than ps3 games for some reason.

I kind of feel like since there are not alot of 360 exclusives when there is one everyone just buys it. While on the ps3 side people are able to choose which ones they want to buy.

Do you think the PS3 has a chance of overtaking the Wii in EU sales?

I tend to buy stuff like Skyrim on the 360 for obvious reasons. But yeah the ps3 has a stellar lineup. Though I happen to think so does the 360 and Wii.... something must be wrong with me. I shouldn't like and appreciate all three systems equally, should I?

M. says:
After Microsoft announced seventy million lifetime sales for the 360 Sony announced that they "shipped " seventy million ps3's.

Then Microsoft announce they sell 750,000 360's on black Friday, then Sony announces they sell 685,000 Including Vita numbers. That is slimey.

In EU sales? As in Europe? Honestly I have not the slightest clue what EU sales are for any of the consoles. Heck I don't even know NA total sales. I know worldwide sales and regret knowing that. I think the market is plenty big for all three consoles, after that my caring is nil. :)

"Shipped" numbers are WAY more accurate than "Sold" numbers. By a mile.

This is a flat out lie. Go on metacritic and look for yourself....if you really want to know the truth... which I don't think you do.

I agree completely that 2013 looks great for the ps3. Which is nice, I think 2012 was pretty boring in terms of exclusives, in fact I didn't buy a single ps3 exclusive in 2012. Though these things tend to be cyclical. So all is good. Last of Us looks superb, probably a day 1 pickukp for me. :)

I find that hardly relevant. PS3 has 3 or 4 years, (maybe more) to go until Sony decides to pull the plug on it.
We all know what MS did with the Xbox when the 360 was released.

So Black Friday sales for all three companies look like this?

360: 750,000
PS3: 525,000
WiiU: 400,000
Wii: 300,000

DS: 275,000
3DS: 250,000
Vita: 160,000

While you all fight over the Sony/Microsoft stuff....I just wanted to point out that Nintendo is selling 4 different systems at this time. Wii, WiiU, DS, and 3DS. One could also argue that they are selling 6 because the DS and 3DS both have XL versions. That is why they are on top. Not even that big of a difference either.

Just sayin'.

How is that Slimey? Should Sony Never release sales data and dont all these companies have similar fiscal calendars, and always release sales info. Also who cares about overall console sales if PS3 does pass 360 by like 1,000 consoles at some point would that really change anything.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 29, 2012 12:56:48 PM PST
We've been thru this before. The difference in the amount of games released for each system comes mostly from the one year headstart the 360 had, where it was getting game releases, while the PS3, for obvious reasons, wasn't.
