We were at a party
His ear lobe fell in the deep
Someone reached in and grabbed it
It was a rock lobster

Rock lobster
Rock lobster

We were at the beach
Everybody had matching towels
Somebody went under a dock
And there they saw a rock

It wasn't a rock
It was a rock lobster

Rock lobster
Rock lobster

Rock lobster
Rock lobster

Motion in the ocean
His air hose broke
Lots of trouble
Lots of bubble

He was in a jam
He's in a giant clam

Rock, rock
Rock lobster
Down, down

Underneath the waves
Mermaids wavin'
Wavin' to mermen
Wavin' sea fans

Sea horses sailin'
Dolphins wailin'

Rock lobster
Rock lobster

Rock lobster
Rock lobster

Red snappers snappin'
Clam shells clappin'
Mussels flexin'
Flippers flippin'

Rock, rock
Rock lobster
Down, down

Lobster
Rock lobster
Rock
Let's rock

Boys in bikinis
Girls in surfboards
Everybody's rockin'
Everybody's fruggin'

Twistin' 'round the fire
Havin' fun
Bakin' potatoes
Bakin' in the sun

Put on your nose guard
Put on the lifeguard
Pass the tannin' butter

Here comes a stringray
There goes a manta ray
In walked a jelly fish
There goes a dogfish

Chased by a catfish
In flew a sea robin
Watch out for that piranha
There goes a narwhal
Here comes a bikini whale

Rock lobster
Rock lobster
Rock lobster
Rock lobster

Huh! Surprised I've never heard that before! Knowledge is power!

Seriously though, Fish On is a fantastic song. That opening little bass solo thing? Wonderful!

I was listening to them earlier this evening!

Tommy the Cat!

Such a good album!

That's the song they're playing at the Battle of the Bands in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, isn't it?

Hook, line and sinker. I actually agree with all you said. This is probably the most trolling I've done on these forums. I usually don't carry it out over multiple posts because I'm lazy. You do make excellent points though.

YAY! I don't know why I like that song. It actually sounds horrible and is nonsense, but for some reason it grew on me after listening to it many times.

Hey says:
I figured as much but what can I say? I'm easy to get riled up over music because I'm a douche, heh. I applaud you sir for snaring me so wonderfully well.

...unless you're tricking me here. IF THAT'S SO, I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN.

I'am going to have this song stuck in my head for the next week.

When the B-52's had their huge comeback in the early 90's, it was until then I realized that strange/creepy song from 10 years earlier was theirs too.

Hey says:
Have you ever heard the whole first album by The B-52s? It's really good and worth a listen.

Modern Bear says:
Nah I'm being honest now. I really don't troll much and when I try I usually don't succeed. I guess I just hit the right topic on this one.

As for which band is the worst I ever listened to for real, I'm not sure. I've heard some really horrible death metal music that sounded like dying cats scratching a blackboard but I couldn't tell you the name of any of the bands.

Modern Bear says:
Not as a whole in a row, just some songs here and there but I do actually like a lot of their songs. There is just something about that band. Cindy and Kate sound great when they sing together, and while many people may find Fred's style of talk-singing (not sure what the technical term for this style is) weird, it's kind of neat because he does it well. Their older songs just have such a cool sound that you don't hear much. It was a cool mix of old surfer style songs and something new. It's hard to put to words.

I.Flores says:
There are some awesomely good death/ black metal bands, like Dimmu Borgir and Gorgoroth, but there also some horribly bad ones too.

Death Metal is one of those genre that has excellent, jaw dropping music, but a lot of generic crap. Ironically, Death, the father of the genre, ended up being one of the most melodic, beautiful, technically accomplished, and intellectual bands of the genre.

Hey says:
We should kill cancer for killing Chuck. I like their later stuff but I still think "Evil Dead' is probably the greatest death metal song ever written.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 17, 2012 8:49:36 PM PST
Chuck was an amazing man for the metal genre. His death was truly tragic. His music is not for everybody, but anybody who slags him off is a complete idiot. He deserves the respect.

That would be Possessed. Death debuted a couple years after them.

Rock Lobster is a classic.

I guess that's a debatable one. I dunno, I always thought Seven Churches was a more proto-death metal, it has more thrash elements than Scream Bloody Gore.

I'm actually more of a fan of The Love Shack, but I do like Rock Lobster.

You're being sarcastic, right? Groundbreaking? C'mon, Bear, how about EVERYTHING The Beatles did from Rubber Soul on. You're judging them on literally the first couple years of their recording career.
