Uzi gave me some links a while back. I believe this one is a good place to start to region-free mod your system:

Cool thanks, did you do this with a Wii Remote Plus? I was watching a video on youtube and the guy said it needed a old remote to work.

How old is the Youtube video? I wonder if that guy's problem was related to the version of the Wii software he had installed, but I haven't had time to do the mod myself yet, so I'm just passing along the info Uzi gave me. My schedule has been insane the past few months. :(

I was watching that this weekend, he is the one that said a Wii motionplus controller won't work.

Are you using one? The links Classic gave made no mention of that, so I'd really like some confirmation before I add another purchase to this operation haha.

Wont work for the Homebrew stuff? Or you mean Wii piratey stuff?

StriderNeo15 says:
I'm not 100% sure, he said something like the motionplus controller would shut itself off during the process and you wouldn't be able to finish or something like that.

What you do I believe is use the Wii's buttons to navigate in that event:

power = cycle through the options

reset = use the option selected

Jediherder on psn. Mine has been hacked for a long time. I'll do some research on how you folks can do it. Do you have the home brew channel?

UziHorowitz says:
If you're just looking to get your Wii to play imports and not fully... ahem... "unlock" it, then all you'll need is an SD card, then put the Homebrew Channel and Tinyload on it. So, to get the Homebrew Channel installed, simply go to the link that Classic Game Girl posted, click on the second one down on the Homebrew Channel highlight, then just follow the Installation method. Anything beyond that is unnecessary for just playing imports. Okay, now take the SD from your computer to the Wii and follow the installation instructions. Now go back to the first page of the link and click on the fourth one down on the Region Free highlight, then go to Tinyload, download it and place it on the SD card, and then whenever you start the Homebrew Channel you'll see the Tinyload app. You place the region locked disc in the Wii before starting the Tinyload app.

If you want help on a full soft mod, I won't do that, as I don't support piracy.

I had to update my executables to get the new Wiimote to work, but you can still use it. The only thing that sucks is that bootmii (the main homebrew program) doesn't seem to be updateable.

Yeah that's all I need, I should be able to handle it from that link from Classic, I'll give it a shot.

You'll be surprised how simple it is. Takes like 5 mins tops.

Uzi, either you have a stalker or someone is upset that you wouldn't post how to rip Wii games. Either way, +1 for the helpful advice and to try to bring balance to the force.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I think some people just hate me, but I've grown to accept it. Not everyone will like me. :P If I say the wrong thing, dislike a game someone else loves, etc., then I've already stepped on someone's toe.

I keep hoping, probably falsely, that Pandora will get an eShop release. :)
