So, this person over in the Gold Box Forum thinks that violent video games are to blame for violence in society. I swear, I can't believe this argument is still going on.

lol wow

But i do like this comment

"I'm not crazy about the "Yes or No" requirement, as it makes me feel as though I were on trial. But I will say this: if violent video games lead to violence on the streets, why don't comical video games lead to comedy on the streets?"

I would enjoy more comedy on the streets!

Yeah, that place is full of crazy. I was looking at the new Deal of the Day and just happened to see that discussion at the top of the forum.

Fair enough. I just stopped clicking the weird titles that occasionally pop up there a long time ago.

I used to visit the GBF regularly until I realized it's pretty much entirely frumpy housewives telling one another they're great and getting mad at people whose jokes don't rely on emoticons.

Exactly. Also, why hasn't the Lego video game series, popular as it is, led to rampant property destruction?

I believe that playing video games leads to playing more video games. I've seen this in myself. It's a vicious cycle. Except it's not vicious. It's more like a cycle. An awesome cycle. Like a unicycle. My sentences are really short. Seriously. Really short.

I was hoping we could inject some more sense and humor into that thread. Thanks everybody :)

I think playing video games leads to buying video games that will only sit on your shelf for years and cause you to complain about your backlog.

Happened to me....

If video games are the cause of violence in society wouldn't we see more off the wall forms of violence? I for one approve of assaulting people with big purple phallic objects.

Maybe it's because people keep creating new forum threads about it? I saw this top as well over there. Ducked my head in for a few minutes and got out. There is a full moon 24/7/365 at GBF.
