My first date with my wife was a marathon. We met up at like 5pm, then drove to Atlantic City which was 75 minutes away. Then spent about 7 hours there. Got lost trying to remember where I parked (that's not so manly, especially since she was right that we were in the wrong parking garage) and a 75 minute ride back, then we talked to each other while she was driving home since it was like 230am by that time.

That's like the longest first date in the history of the world.

Yes. I never really expected the female to pay for anything until after the 3rd date. However, if everything is getting kind of expensive and she has a good idea about your finances she should offer something. That is unless she doesnt have a job or anything.

I thought you meant it was literally a marathon race. That would be pretty romantic I guess - you could be guaranteed some touchin, as you would probably have to hold each other up by the end.

That's a great idea as well, just as long as she into that kind of thing.

Well, I live in NYC and everything is so f***ing expensive here. I usually pay for the first date, but the girl usually knows how expensive it is and offers to split the bill.

Truth. I was thinking you could just hike up directly behind her the whole time.

On a 1st date? Think about it; "Hi, this is our 1st date together, so, let's take a walk in the woods,... leave your drivers license and all forms of ID and communication behind though,...."

It does all have to do deal with the location that you live at. In michigan everything is mostly cheap. However, back when I was dating you really didnt have sites like groupon either.

Sidenote.... Anyone find anything wrong with breaking off alot of groupon on dates? Me and my wife do it all the time. But we are married and it doesnt really count.

There's no good way to use a coupon on a first date. Heavy petting must come first.

That's a good idea, that's something you do later down the road in a relationship anyway.

Forever R. says:
Unless you say your going to take care of the bill and she walks away or go the restroom. The coupon must go unnoticed!

Using a coupon on a date = I don't think you're worth full price.

Doesn't apply if you're married though.

This is true.. the coupon ninja is attainable, but a difficult form to master.
