Insomniac Games' new Ratchet & Clank title, Full Frontal Assault, was supposed to launch on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita November 27, 2012. While that's still very much the case with the PS3 version - hitting both retail shelves and digitally on the PS Store on that date - the Vita version has been unfortunately delayed until January 2013.

Here's the official word from the PlayStation Blog:

"Our friends at Tin Giant have been working hard to bring Insomniac's PS3 game to PS Vita and to ensure that your experience is packed with all the action and polish you'd expect from a Ratchet & Clank game. In order to provide the best gameplay experience possible, the PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be coming out in January 2013."

As a sign of good faith on Sony's part, they are hooking up buyers of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault on the PS3 with a free DLC skin-pack, featuring a number of classic bosses from the series, like Chainblade from Going Commando and the Two-eyed Tyrhrranoid from Up Your Arsenal.

Additionally, when the PS Vita version does eventually ship in January, owners of the PS3 version will be able to download it for free as part of Sony's new cross-buy/cross-play campaign.

Sounds like a great way to make the best of a crappy situation if you ask us.

I really hope this game doesn't suck as much as All 4 One.

Oh no! Err, what's this again? Isn't this the tower defense game?

From what I've heard...this is kind of a hybrid tower defense game. Totally gonna pass.

From what I understand it's like a mixture of Orcs Must Die and a MOBA in the Ratchet and Clank universe.

Oh, I could see a few people around here liking this. Not for me though.

Cross buy was a big selling point for me so I'll wait on a purchase unless this gets some amazing reviews.

AC Lib
NFS Hot Persuit
Persona 4
Ragnarok Odissey
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward
PS All Stars

All released within just a few weeks from each other.
Seems a pretty fair amount of games to me.

LBP Vita is pretty good from what I heard. You should check it out!

I just wish more games that interested me would come out. I'll be getting AssLib soon, but other than that it's a pretty huge yawnfest for me.

I'm excited to play Gravity Rush and Wipeout, I didn't want to spend money on them though, so the price is perfect. PS+ rocks!
