Uh oh - looks like someone who bought a Vita is having a downvote tantrum on my posts!

Maybe not doomed. But underwhelming sales, for sure.

Underwhelming compared to what?

Sorry but I will need the black version. I will probably mostly use the tablet for Netflix so I will need cradle and dock charge station. Funny how I see WiiU not for games but its features first, lol.

Underwhelming compared to his fantasy PlayStation 3/Vita numbers.

Ice King says:
If you're just getting it for the video streaming, you might want to look into a Roku. It's much cheaper and easier to use. Not that the Wii U is particularly hard to use, but the Roku is so much better for streaming.

Oh boy two downvotes from Vita owners! That's like 10% of the US install base!

HorizonBrave says:
I expected more sales from the WiiU for the third week, if anything. Six years later, you would think the already bigger population with stronger income would buy a considerable amount of these things. Also, the Wii did have a sales bump before Christmas, while the WiiU decreased, if only a bit.

EDIT: Okay, you're just here to bash the Vita aren't you? I lost my time it seems.

Not to wade too deep into this but do you really think that the economy is stronger now than it was in 2006? Or that incomes are higher?

Sha Gojyo says:
dang, I should of waited. I didn't buy any games with mine, since they all cost $60 a piece.

HorizonBrave says:
In Japan? Yes, they have a very steady growth ratio, even after the tsunami. You knew these numbers were only from Japan, right?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 26, 2012 12:49:54 PM PST
Well, you brought up sales in Japan but as of now the Wii U is tracking ahead of the Wii. The system may ultimately tank in the long run...who knows? That said, he was just addressing your post about a sales dip in Japan (which was only about 4,000 systems from the week before.)

HorizonBrave says:
I hope it doesn't to be honest, I own a Wii and absolutely love the library it has ..
But I thought I was talking numbers and stuff here, until the guy started bashing the Vita for no reason.

You mean like this?

"Japan's Economy Contracts 0.9 Percent in Q3"

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/japan/gdp-growth

Looks like there were a few spikes in 2012, but it looks like the economy dropped right about the launch of the WiiU. And "steady" is not even close to the right word for their growth.

$1.00

It's all so clear now.

Nintendo is trying to destroy Japan!

Not surprised that you didn't like it. You have 22 items in your wish list. 21 are for PlayStation games and the last is for an Uncharted novel. If only there was a PlayStation breakfast cereal and Nathan Drake bedsheets you'd be all set!
