Sounds like an excellent time to knock out some portable games to me. Gotta love easy money.

I worked Sunday and Monday, had yesterday off, work today, have tomorrow off, work Friday, have Saturday off. So I have a weird schedule.

Yea, I got to work the rest of the week too. Like no one is here today. So, far it has been the longest 2 hours. I feel like I could just go home and come back to close up the office at 430.

I have to work the rest of the week when there is nothing to do at work. And I cannot play games on company time either.

This is going to be a long day. I guess I'll be on the VGF all day.

I'm in a similar predicament, only there are more people in my office and although I have very little to do many of them have a good deal of work and it's possible it could spill over to me if they find out how slow I am.
Normally, I'm not opposed to helping out but the way things work here, if I so much as touch a file it, and any future problems, become mine forever. And whenever I offer help, people always give me their worst files to deal with. Then when I deal with one of their BS problems they know that I can do it again when it happens in the future and suddenly I'm the guy to go to when something ridiculous happens.
Even if I get busy after taking their work I still own the ones I take.
So I usually lay low when I have little to do.

That's when you say F U. Don't be their door mat, unless you have to because they are executives and what not.

But then again, if you keep doing it you pretty much will never get let go. Because you are "that guy".

I'm the only person from my group in the office right now. There are supposed to be two other people but they're still not here yet. oh well, I thought about bringing my vita but instead i'm going to try and power through the rest of battlestar galactica since i'm on the last season. using amazon prime while at the office --- winning!

They're not executives, but it's more complicated than just saying no. That's why I just keep my head down when I'm slow and come here or work on time wasting things. I've made so many spreadsheets that chart so much useless information.
There are a few people who don't take advantage of it that I do help though.

Same here, but luckily I can go home to some Far Cry 3.

I have the same first-world problem today, so I'll probably be killing a little more time than usual on here.

Yea man, I feel you on that one. Most of my co-workers aren't considerate enough to give me something easy to do if I'm just helping to reduce their work load. They want to reduce their workload and give me the toughest stuff they have to deal with, and most of the time its the "due yesterday" work that they have put off till the last minute haha. Oh I love those...

Long week for me too though, literally 2 other guys here with me too and there will not be anything to do until after New Years.
