This day's bringing disappointment with ZombiU not doing so well and now this.

IGN gave it a 6 .... we're still getting it anyway, it's on my sons Christmas wish list, & the 1st Wii version was also not a reviewers hit, but we enjoyed it quite a bit .... he's replayed the demo 4 x ... so it holds some appeal.

I liked the demo for both this and the 3DS version. I kept my 3DS order but canceled the order for this and will buy it from Amazon on BF for $25.

we tried both demos also, but he seemed far more drawn to the console version, & since the review (IGN) said that co-op helped bring the game to life, I'll get that - but will also look for a BF sale - since it's a Christmas gift ... gives me time to look for a deal, & these reviews will help drive the price down ...

well, hopefully there will be some Disney magic to be enjoyed ... LBP Karting was a 5 according to IGN, & we love the game, so with luck, we might still enjoy this one ...

Another disappointment!

Power of Illusion - 5

Power of Two - 5

Is this it for Warren Spector's Junction Point studio? Will Disney give them the boot like Black Rock and others? It seems aside from the improved camera, Epic Mickey 2 is worse than Epic Mickey, lacking a lot of the charm, level design, etc. of that game.

Yup, a lower score doesn't mean it can't be fun, especially for Disney fans. Despite the first game's camera, I really liked it. The demo for Power of Two was fun, as was the demo for Power of Illusion, so a Disney fan should be able to suck some enjoyment out of them, just the mileage may vary.

I only played a bit of the demo, mainly just to see if it controlled better and if the camera was improved. It was but it seems that wasn't enough, I need to read some reviews it seems.

To be fair, I'm sure it's not really a 2.

a 2 ? omg .... the cut scenes alone have to be worth more than a 2 .... yikes. oh dear. really going to hurt sales.

I don't think Destructoid reviews have much of an effect on sales, fortunately, lol. ;-)

I already have Power of Illusion on the way and am looking forward to it. I'll pick up Power of Two when the price comes down a bit.

I couldn't say no to those 2D sprites. As annoying as I hear the drawing stuff becomes in Power of Illusion, it's just too darn pretty!

And I didn't mind switching between the screens too much in Monster Tale and Henry Hatsworth.

Here's some more positive Power of Illusion reviews:

Ouch...

Man, I feel sorry for Warren Spector, honestly.

I was just about to post this actually. He seems like a nice down to earth guy and that he was genuinely really passionate about making these games. It's too bad.

Well, at least Jim Sterling blamed it all on Disney, lol.

Read the gamespot view, I don't think I can do more than bargain bin for this. The issues the reviewer has we're some of he same ones I had with the original and honestly I found them quite aggravating.

Man, how do they keep screwing up such a great idea?

Another "pun the title" review score from Mr. sterling.
