They are both great movies, but, I'm going to go with Pulp Fiction for the dialogue and this.....

I think Goodfellas is a better mob movie, simply due to the fact that its plot does a great job diving into the mob life. It was based on a novel based on the life of a real mobster, and was well researched to make sure it had a resemblance of reality.

Pulp Fiction, in contrast, does really nothing to explore the mob life. It's one of the best films ever made, as well, but Pulp Fiction is not really about mob life.

Goodfellas is the better "mob" film, Pulp is the better film, Godfather I & II trump both

Donkey Punch says:
I would say Goodfellas because it's more about the mob. Millers Crossing is one of my favorites.

Pulp Fiction all the way. I still use lines today from that movie.

Say "what" one more time MF.

Pulp Fiction could be a true story. Ever been to Detroit?

Donkey Punch says:
But it's not a mob movie. It's random stories that all fit together somehow and Goodfellas is a story of a boy growing up in the mafia. I really don't see how they could even be put in the same category.

Man, so many good mob movies: Scarface, The Untouchables, the Godfather series, Goodfellas. Too tough to pick just one.

I don't usually put Pulp Fiction in the same category, but it's such a good movie regardless. Loved the sense of humor. :)

Ah, we are talking about the better "mobster" movie. If that is the case then I have to go with Goodfellas.

Definition of MOBSTER
: a member of a criminal gang

Yeah, those guys in Pulp Fiction were no way in or part of a criminal gang.

If you guys are saying "Mob (Short for Mobster)" and meaning "Mafia", well then my vote can change too.

I never thought of Pulp Fiction as a mobster movie. A Bronx Tale is more mobstery, and I think of that as a love story. Goodfellas, Godfather, and Casino are the three biggest mobster movies in my mind.

All are great, and very re-watchable.

Don't forget Millers Crossing.

That would be the great debate. Casino vs Goodfellas. My 2 greatest Mob movies ever.

Yup, Casino.

Of the two, Pulp Fiction. Casino is better than both. The Godfather Pt. II is the greatest movie ever made.

Everyone says Godfather II is better, but I like the first one a lot more.

In a related note, Boardwalk Empire has been pretty good this season... can't believe the season is getting set to end already! Ugh... oh well, bring on Game of Thrones ;)

I agree with this. I don't really consider PF to be a mob movie. So..Goodfellas wins.

Same as many said, Pulp Fiction isn't a mobster movie. Goodfellas wins by default.

Edit: I like Pulp Fiction more though.
