At least Halo maintains the concept that a 2 on 1 should favor the group with 2... in COD it's pretty much even, bc you can get it down to 1 on 1 quickly with a few well-placed/lucky shots.
When I played COD (I quit a few days after MW3 came out), I would get so frustrated with my teammates in TDM because usually they would attract attention to me, or cause enemies to be wary of the traps I'd set for them. At least in Halo having teammates around is generally a good thing. Also true for Gears (which I think, for me, is the style of MP TDM gameplay I prefer now).
