T-Hype says:
"not income redistribution"

Oh, my dear, Mr. Weihe, income distribution has been happening for twenty years under your nose in the direction of the wealthy. This is a statistical fact and is not arguable.

If you haven't done the research to build your case, at the very least keep the name calling and negativity to a minimum, please.

Kr155 says:
Yeah social safety nets are not income redistribution. I know that was a troll post but I just had to get that out there. If you don't feed people who have no money then they will just beg or steal to get it.

D_Strasse says:
Not to say the safety net isn't important, but how again aren't they redistribution?

Kr155 says:
It's protection. The goal isn't to even out the distribution of wealth, it's to make sure people don't starve and to make sure people who don't make enough money can still function in a society that runs on money. Fire departments used to be private. If you didn't buy their protection and put their sticker on your Window they'd let yourself house burn down along with anything and anyone in it. Making fire protection a public service didn't constitute a wealth redistribution. You can't honestly say someone on food stamps and welfare is as well of as even someone with a lower middle class Income

LOL, Amazon mods deleted my post because I said the 's' word for feces, yet they leave a thread with the word in its title for weeks.

As a former young college student, I stopped reading after I saw 'young college student' because it only means a couple things 1. I stinks of pretentious 2. Comes across as well written/spoken but doesn't actually deliver anything of substance 3. Presents what appears to be a brand new idea/concept, but, in reality is nothing new or revealing and 4. This to the comments following said piece, his peers will scream hooray as they themselves are buried under their own mountain of 'I'm crazy unique and important' while the late 20-somethings, 30-somethings sit back and laugh.

I've seen the weirdest things happen, man.

I had a post deleted 20 seconds after I posted it and it was within the guidelines, curse words were bleeped out, not making fun of anyone.

As someone on here posted before. The Mods must be crazy.

Cool... You hear that, Amazon mods???
It was just a little joke that I had posted in reply to your comment about Obama/ liberals murdering 50+ million unborn babies and calling it "pro-choice." ...

I had said, "Thousands of my potential children died on your daughter's face last night. Does that count as pro-choice?"

That's kinda funny, right? I mean, obviously it was a joke not based in reality since I don't even know if you have a daughter. But Amazon seems to have taken great offense to it since they promptly removed my comment.

It wasn't even my joke; it came from the thread entitled "I took a shit at Gamestop."

Geesh, Amazon mods, way to ruin a harmless joke.

DVvM says:
I wrote some dumb shit when I was a college student, but this may take the cake.

Red America needs Blue America and vice versa, since no one ideology has all the answers and challenging one's ideas is better for them in the long run. Taking one great country and splitting it into two terrible countries is stupid. Wanting to kick people who disagree with you out of your country rather than work together to find common ground and compromise that helps everybody is infantile.

What we need to do is take everybody who buys into this "Politics is team sports" bullshit (go red team! go blue team!) put them on an island, and don't let them off until they've gotten over that.

Kr155 says:
Actually the fed is buying mortgage backed securities, not treasury bonds. Government debt was actually excluded from the feds buying spree. Funny thing was it was a bush policy to push the value of the dollar down to help improve the manufacturing sector but it didn't work because china ties their currency value to ours and deflated it artificially.
