Hey guys, I just wanted to get some input on some good ideas for my final writing assignment for one of my classes this semester.

It's a comparative evaluation assignment in which I compare two subjects with the purpose of judging which is superior or preferable.

Of course the first that came to mind was Xbox 360 vs. PS3, simply because it's a subject I'm associated with almost on a daily basis, and I've obtained lots of information regarding both systems from you guys to help me with the evaluation.

I'm going to use the point by point method, so I will need to come up a with a good hook, and then break down my paper by a first, second, third, and final criterion. So out of those four, what would be a good criterion for each subject?

Thanks

Bunching vs folding toilet paper. This is an issue no one is brave enough to explore.

In all seriousness, this would get a better grade than a paper on the console war. Your teacher doesn't care which console is better, and this is an entertaining topic. Just make sure you deadpan it; treating it seriously is funnier than any joke you're going to come up with.

I'm a scruncher, so here's my proposed outline:

1) Versatility: works with thick toilet paper or the cheapo thin stuff. You don't want only four plies of supermarket brand between your hand and the abyss
2) Efficiency: Folding uses less paper and covers more area, less likely to clog the toilet (you want to concede one point)
3) Speed: scrunching is quicker, for emergencies and for the wiper on the go
4) Cleanliness: Texture collects mass better. No sliding like a penguin down a snow bank. This is the most important point, so it goes last.
