I believe French Fries just sounds better than Deep Fat Fries and French Kiss sounds better than Tongue-In-Mouth Kiss. Not sure about the others.

Video games have something to do with it, I'm sure.

They maintain their sodapop dispensers well, it's always quality, more expensive restaurants pop tastes lousy at times.
Dollar menu, I forget what it is in pounds, but it's not very much money regardless.

Kevin Beirne says:
McDonald's has managed to get Americans addicted to their food through convenience. We are busy people, work, family, social life. Driving from work over to whatever activity, "shit - I gotta get somethin to eat - but I don't have time! Oh - there's a Mickey D's - I'll just pull in and get a McChicken..."

There are so many McDonald's all over the place it is funny. The value deals get you a sandwich fries and a drink for less than five bucks a lot of the time. The fries are pretty damn delicious, no arguing that. The McChicken is pretty good too - but it really is absolutely awful food to consume. It's so processed I don't see how anything your body uses from it is beneficial. Other than running the systems through the motions...

"I gotta get somethin to eat"

That's the addiction right there. No one in America who eats at McD's actually needs to get something to eat right then and there.

Ice King says:
That's technically true. Most of us won't actually die or suffer any physical trauma if we don't eat when we get hungry.
But being hungry can be uncomfortable and make you irritable, which in turn can lead to you making bad decisions that can make things more difficult in your life.
So while it won't kill us to skip a meal, and I know people in 3rd world countries would laugh at our definition of "starving", it's still a good idea to eat when you get hungry unless you have a problem that makes you always hungry. In which case, you need help.
