Is this going to be like a traditional Atelier game or is this going to be like the other games?

Preordered.

Chocolette says:
What do you mean by traditional?

I kind of assumed it would be like the PS3 Atelier games, but now that you ask, I have no clue.

Still no Amazon listing for Neptunia Victory though.

J. Pardee says:
They really need to hurry that one up. While they are at it they need to announce the localization of Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R.

Yeah. There'll finally be a list of things to play on the Vita! *gasp*

Luckily not everyone has such uncouth tastes. Phew, what a relief.

J. Pardee says:
Well, at least more things to play since there already is some great games on the system. I wonder if Atelier Totori will be released for the Vita here as well.

It is good that Ayesha is coming to the US though. I still need to play Meruru first though.

StriderNeo15 says:
And Xillia 2, of course.

Chocolette says:
I doubt Totori will be localized. Dunno, just doesn't give off that vibe.

I still have to get Meruru at a good price. Bad thing with JRPGs - not knowing if stock will run out before the price ever goes down.

J. Pardee says:
Psshhh, just let me have Xillia and then we can focus on Xillia 2.

Yeah, some of these JRPG prices absolutely suck. I want to get Rorona but the prices are too high for the game. Gamestop had it on sale for $21 new but they didn't have any of them in my state.

Tales of the World: Tactics Union to be available on AppStore and Google Play in 2013.

Chocolette says:
Yeah, I got mine at Gamestop - but it was open box (boo) but I took it anyway - at the used price. Oh well.

Waiting for Gamestop to put Meruru at $21 like Rorona and Totori ans hoping that some Gamestop in this city will still have it.

J. Pardee says:
I was able to get Totori for $21 new but I haven't had any luck with Rorona. I hope Meruru goes the same price and it's somewhere near to me.

That's cool that Tales of the World is coming to the US but I would still rather have Innocence R and Hearts R. Tales of the World was a monthly subscription in Japan so hopefully it wouldn't be the same here.

It took me a while to get into Atelier Totori. Once I realized there were time restraints and tons of different endings, I felt overwhelmed that I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the game and "complete" it. Eventually I said screw it and just dove in doing what I wanted to. Found out the time restraints weren't that bad after all even with my first play through doing whatever I wanted without a guide. Even the cutesyness of the game grew on me. Ended up loving it. Haven't played the other two yet, but feel pretty excited about Ayesha. I'll have to watch NIS to see if there's a limited edition available.

StriderNeo15 says:
There are a few Tales of the World games already out here, though from what I understand they are more fan service than anything, mostly mission based games with characters from the entire universe.

Ayesha, was a girl that I never knew, but I wanted to get to know her better.

Eh, they don't sound like something I would be hugely interested in then. I just want a full game again to play in the series.

Chocolette says:
Yeah, Hearts and Innocence would be much more appreciated.

I tried Tales of the World Radiant Mythology on PSP and it was....boring.

Maybe I need to play all the other mothership games first and then go back to it.

I got into the Atelier series through Mana Khemia. Love the game - it's very light with lots of the signature alchemy. I'd recommend this one as well - though if you're getting it for PSP, get the PSN dl version because I read that the UMD ver is very slow to load.
