Yes, because no one plays older games online.

There are ways around that. The fact that people are still playing Phantasy Star Online on GameCube or Steel Battalion Line of Contact on Xbox says a lot.

What about those of us who only go for the SP experience?

Personally speaking, I could do without online MP.

Im only responding to the generic statement made by Online Predator. Personally speaking, I would rather have both.

Neither one when they are released. I'll let others play guinea pig to find all the faults with the systems, then wait to see if they are fixed, plus wait for a price reduction or sale before I'll even consider it. In the meantime I have a good gaming laptop I can get games on, as well as my Xbox 360, at least for now. I'm considering opening up my Xbox 360 to clean it out and see how it looks in there, now that the warranty has finally ended. I might break it when I do.

I didn't say servers don't get shut down. But to imply that a mere five years after a release is too long to wait is silly, unless you're specifically talking about yearly sports games.

Awwh... you said the M word!

Neither. My High End PC, Wii U & PS Vita will tide me over quite nicely. I have not played a game on my PS3 since God Of War (it's mainly a Blu-Ray player now) & I rarely turn on the 360 . Steam will do for me since they have great sales and my PC will blow away either the PS4 or 720.

Very pointless thread as all you'll get now is fanboys. I prefer my 360 but I no nothing about next gen so how could I possibly make a decision.

We are similar in that regard. I am a single player guy, online means little to nothing to me. :)

Neither. Between the Wii U and the 3DS, I have way too many game options as it is.

I've always been that way for some reason. Even back in the NES days. Never enjoyed 2-player. If I do play online MP, it's with someone I know, and even then, I can count the times I've played online MP on one hand. I've just always been a loner type of gamer.

Thinking about getting both just not the first generation for either one though.

Both at launch

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 15, 2012 5:28:52 PM PST
Lol, yep I have played online less than 10 times this entire generation. Gaming is my "me" time. It is my time to be left alone in piece. :)
