Ok, I'm thinking about trying to get a game going with some of the regulars. You would roll your own dice, and we could start some party chat on PC or something. It's just a thought right now, but I wanted to put some feelers out to see if there would be any interest and the days/times that would work best for those who would be interested in giving it a shot.

Like real life, I'm quite aware that it's preordained that people's schedules intermittantly changes to prevent a steady gaming time, so don't hold back on putting your name in the hat just because you're concerned that you couldn't participate on a regular basis. I'm thinking of basing my world around 3 main cities in conflict with one another and it will be partially up to the characters how the conflict is played out(espionage, double-crossing, silenced fights in dark alleys as guards are walking their posts, etc)

A couple of tools to consider. They'd be helpful for dice rolls, maps, even a topology tool so the DM can limit player's vision of the dungeon.

Oooooooooh I'd be all over this.

I never got to play DnD as a kid with anyone but myself. :D

Also, doesn't the new Neverwinter MMO coming out have DM dungeon tools?

This one really looks good. It's browser based, has a real-time whiteboard for maps, has a bunch of free art for monsters and players, chat functions, dice roller, card decks, etc.

Video explanation of what the site can do looks pretty good. It seems to give you quite a few tools to use.

I've got a Vent server that can easily house 10-15 people on a regular basis for this.

If you guys are interested in using it, let me know. I can create a table-top channel that only certain users have access to so that we're not bothered by other random players who hop around in channels. :)

Any idea what ruleset we would use? I know the entire Pathfinder ruleset is online.

Off that roll20 site:

System agnostic
Roll20 doesn't worry about mechanics, so it can be used with many games, including D&D (any edition), Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Savage Worlds, FATE, indie RPGs, other d20-based games, and more. Roll20 features basic tools like dice rolling, turn tracking, and markers that can easily work with any system.

I'm totally into this. I'd be down for Pathfinder or whatever.

Peter says:
I'm in. I havent rolled a die in years, but I still own a few nice sets and a large but random collection of AD&D books (3.5 and before) and a decent selection of Rifts books as well.
I'm cool with any system though.

I've never played pathfinder, but I'm guessing I can pick up on it fairly quick.

That site is really easy to use. I just dragged this prexisting map and then some monster art onto it. (Didn't bother with resizing or anything since this is just a sample.)

Any of you can then log in and join the game through this link: https://app.roll20.net/join/60385/C6g9yw

You'll need to register but just use a throwaway email address. You also get a popup ad but you should be able to see the map in 10 seconds or so.

DVvM says:
It's not system agnostic! I can play neither Amber nor Castle Falkenstein on it!

Well, I guess I could play Amber...

Would you be interested in playing with us, though? We wouldn't make you use voice chat or anything.

That is awesome.

Awesome program.

It even has built in voice and video if you want to use it. Custom avatar names and such as well with a fairly intuitive setup.

A lot like 3.5.

Yep, and like I said, dice rolls, card decks, the GM can limit player vision, character sheets.

Seems solid to me.

Anyways you all have a good night.

You too!

You as well!
