I'm thinking of buying one but not sure how they are working yet. So figured i'd ask the VGF.

Strangely im actually thinking of going digital for all the wii u games after my initial batch of games. Thinking of buying super mario wii u first.

I'd also be interested in hearing which hard drives are working on the U. Nintendo's message thus far has been: your mileage my vary. They've linked two drives on their site that they have confirmed work, but that's only two drives, and they're expensive ones at that.

I can try it this week. I've got my old PS3 drive and a little SATA to USB hookup.

I'm waiting to see how much of my HD gets used by games and vc. Might look into it at some point. 32gb doesn't sound like much. I know 80 didn't get me very far on my PS3

In my experience, various things like demos and add-on DLC eventually add up to take up a lot of space, but I guess if you're deleting demos you've already tried, and are not buying everything digitally, 32 gigs should be enough for the entire lifespan of the console.

Amazon has a:

Western Digital WD Elements 2 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive

for $89.99. I just ordered it. I'll update when I get a chance to try it out.

No, it isn't. This isn't like the Wii where games are like 40mb tops. Trine 2 was nearly 2 gigs, and Mighty Switch Force was 500mb.

I hope that works because I would love to download a bunch of the games digitally. I wonder how loading the software up on the hd works?

I bought this one yesterday for $35 and started a thread about it. Seems it might not work though.
