Same. I bit the bullet and preordered it at GS today

Amazon hasn't offered Nintendo hardware in more than a year, and the only place I've seen this particular bundle is GS so far.

Sounds like a rad night. I think I speak for all of us when I say we will require pics of said event.

Of the game console of course... Wouldn't want to turn this board into THAT sort of forum.

I'm not the kind of collector that keeps my handheld systems sealed up, but I'll be getting a physical copy of the game too.

Just fyi for others pre-ordering the game, it seems as though the limited edition art book bonus is GS-exclusive.

Okay, so a few days ago I preordered 2 copies of Fire Emblem 3DS (games) from a local GS. After seeing that they are taking preorders on the 3DS bundle now, I called them up and had them move the funds used to pay for 1 copy of Fire Emblem 3DS (game) to the Fire Emblem 3DS (system) to secure my preorder.

Now I will have one physical copy of the game and a digital copy on the system itself (which like Jason suggested, I will keep sealed up).

The Zelda version is truly gorgeous, and it will still be the one I carry with me when I go out. But this design is very cool too, IMHO, and definitely a nice one to add to my handheld collection.

Time to order more Hori 3DS full body protectors...

Pass. Good for folks that didn't get Zelda version. Compare to Zelda design, Zelda looks better.

Super robot wars will, unfortunately, never get released in N america (neither in Europe): its targeted audience is Asian.

I'm still shocked as hell we're actually getting the FE bundle.

Have you seen the Super Robot Wars XL? I'd consider that an acceptable substitute for a Cosmo Black XL. Unfortunately, I do not anticipate a Super Robot Wars bundle for the US.

When the hell is Nintendo going to release a Cosmo Black 3DS XL?

I don't blame you for passing on this but at least consider a couple of things.

Fire Emblem is not historically a huge seller in the US so the game itself won't be too common. This particular 3DS will probably be rare. Better to buy it and leave it sealed for $200 than realize later you want it in your collection and pay $500 for it. If you buy it for $200 and decide you don't want it you can always sell it for at least the same amount you paid.

I was thinking about getting this but $200 for a original 3DS with a design on it and no physical game, I think I'm passing on getting it.

Yep, I reserved mine today at my local GS, and pre-orders are also available online:

I haven't seen the bundles available anywhere else yet.

I read somewhere it releases on the same date as the game (2/4) for $199. So close...and yet, can't find anyone selling it...

You could say that...

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 15, 2013 7:24:05 AM PST
To tell you the truth, I didn't know that. The only thing I know is that it came with a copy of the game and that it is not an XL version.

Does it have some sort of Fire Emblem design on the 3DS?
