When I turned my ps3 on this morning to download hearth fire, I received a message saying I had been given $10 psn credit for being a loyal customer. I thought it was spam, but sure enough it was from sony. Clicked the attachment and it automatically took me to the store, and the 12 digit code was prepopulated. Nice! I think the message said I had two weeks to redeem it, just thought I'd pass along the info. I haven't done anything to be particularly active so it would surprise me if tons of people go this.

I'm flattered, I didn't think anyone was watching.

League of Legends is on the PS3?

So I'm guessing the criteria include spending a boatload of money on PSN, having a PS+ account, and owning a PS3?

Doesn't sound like it. I've done all those things and didn't have any messages when I hopped on my Vita this morning. I would assume I'd see the message at least if I was on there.

I didn't say they excluded any other criteria, just that those seem like they're probably the top 3. There may be other criteria, and there's probably some randomization in there.

Now I'm going to be wondering if I got one. I did just drop $40 in the PSN store a few days ago. That ought to make me a valuable, if not loyal, customer.

Over the 3 years I have been a PSN member, I must have spent less than $100 total on PSN and I have had paid PS+ for just 3 months. So I don't really think exorbitant spending is a criteria.

Maybe it's entering a credit card even after the whole scam. That would certainly be an act of faith in Sony :P

Haha, it's definitely not that. Sony will never get my credit card information again after that hack.

Haha, I have used my credit card recently for some purchases. However, I always delete it immediately after any use.

Ditto, I did have my credit card and billing information linked at that time. Now I have a fake name and have my billing set at 1234 taco st. or something. Everything is paid for by PSN cards.

I mentioned this in the other post, but in the last six months all I've bought is 3 pieces of dlc between Skyrim and Amalur, I've never been a ps+ subscriber (except the free period for the hack), and I've had my account since 2009.

You guys still don't have some kind of fraud protection on your credit card from the bank? If someone steals my credit card info, I'm covered. Something I made sure I had like in 2001... Geez.

Why should I have to worry about all that when I can just use PSN cards?

Who are you talking to? Who said anything about fraud?
