Heh, read the comments.

Benpachi says:
"The closest parallel is the PlayStation 3's Uncharted series. But where the linear leaping of those games was leavened by Indiana-Jones-style humour and silliness, Tomb Raider is pitch black in tone."

Paraphrasing.

That isn't paraphrasing. That's "making the sentence mean something the it doesn't.'"

"So.. The tutorial area isn't action packed and meaningful?"

a 3 hour tutorial? This isn't final fantasy.

Benpachi says:
Whatever you say, Nate. They criticize Tomb Raider for the climbing sequence being cinematic and mostly automated, then go on to say it was ok for Uncharted to do that because it was more humorous. You just don't like the way I said it.

StriderNeo15 says:
right, the final fantasy tutorial is 20 hours.

MrFoxhound says:
At least the tutorial ends. Most games these days the entire game is the tutorial, like Crackdown.

I think what he meant was that it's easier to suspend your disbelief in a game like Uncharted.

Benpachi says:
Nuh-uh, the article doesn't say that anywhere! You are making that up!!!

...exactly. I was poking fun at Nate.

In Uncharted, you certainly do more than simply move the thumbstick to climb.

You seem to think I'm getting upset over what you say about Uncharted. I don't worship that game like a lot of people do. You seem to have me confused with someone else.

Some of those jumps Drake makes are retarded. And then in the next segment, you die when you try to make a jump half as far.

The obvious thing to take away here is that the author hates black stuff. Must be a racist.

To paraphrase.

One of my top 5 games of all time has me pushing up on the analog to climb a ladder through an entire theme song, didn't ruin the experience for me.

Hey, I liked the movie Pitch Black. So, are they going to make the game in the complete dark and make Lara have had a surgery to see her enemies this way? Weird reboot we've got going on here.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 28, 2012 7:33:09 AM PST
Please. Lara Croft would not last 30 seconds in a triple-max security prison!

Ok, does this guy even play games? His entire "thumbstick" complaint is applicable to only about 90% of all games out there.

The game isn't out yet. So, I am going to wait until it is actually out.

That's boring.

Oh - sorry.

You are right, I should be frothing at the mouth. Screaming and yelling at how outraged I am that you do/don't support my excitement/disappointment at this game.

I'll even throw in something about your mother - and how she will suffer for your support/disapproval of this game's preview impressions,... based on someone's opinion.

Definitely put something in there about his mom, and then question his intelligence. It's the internet!

Still not exciting enough.
