Anyone want to bet that my team (Giants) does better than their team this upcoming NFL season? If so name the stakes and as long as it's not too ridiculous we'll work something out. Obviously I can't bet with everyone, so if some of you want to bet amongst yourselves, feel free.

We could also do a football pool if anyone is interested.

Michael

You mean regular season record, or who gets further in the playoffs?

Doesn't matter, either or.

No. If you lose you MUST do it. So therefore it will be a punishment and you will get 0 pleasure out of it. If you win, you get the opportunity to do it and therefore you will go into it with wide eyes and ready for anything.

I'm OK with "MUST"...that doesn't sound too bad to me.

MJM, I'll take that regular season record bet with you. I got the Bears, you got the Giants. How about for a $20 PSN card?

You're on my friend!

We'll keep this thread as a means to smack talk and keep up on things.

Just so you know, if my Giants start showing signs of complete suckage early on, you may just have that $20 PSN card before the season ends.

Sounds good buddy!

The PSN card works well, too. The loser can just buy the card, scratch off back, and send the code to the winner via Facebook.

Are you betting...or just being hopeful?

That works for me. The Giants have a tough schedule and they're not known to really do that well coming off a Superbowl win, so I think soon you'll be $20 richer in PSN money. I love the Giants and I'm keeping my hopes high, but the bastards have let me down on more than one occasion.

Hmmm good point...but I'm OK with that too.

See, the Bears, as opposed to last year, have a much easier schedule this time. Our division is very tough with Detroit and Green Bay, but aside from games at San Fran, at Dallas, and at home to Houston, the rest shouldn't be too bad provided the team stays healthy. But the Giants are champions and should have lots of confidence. So this should be a fun one to keep track of!

What? Put my money where my mouth is? I'm from Philly, man. I'll talk trash on every team even when we're 4-8. Can't bet on the Iggles, dood.

How about if they do win the Superbowl I will buy and play every Final Fantasy game ever released, but if they don't, you have to throw out every Final Fantasy game you own?
