I think his points are pretty valid

I haven't listened to it, but I imagine it's the same points that all of the retro doofuses made about the Atari 2600 and company when the original PlayStation was being released.

I don't understand why specific eras have to be better or worse instead of just enjoying gaming as a whole.

I think it's because of nostalgia, not my reason, but, can be a valid reason to prefer the 90's to now.

Even I am starting to play older games from the NES/SNES libraries more than the games from the Wii/PS3/360 libraries. In fact, since the summer, I've been buying almost nothing but older games on the VC.

Yeah, nostalgia plays a big role, that's for sure. As I've said before, I'm a pretty big 3DO junkie, mainly because I had one when I was 12 and I have fond memories of the games from that era. I'm not sure nostalgia can be a valid reason for saying an era is BETTER though, y'know what I mean?

It's not my reason, because I didn't really grow up in the 90's, but yet, I play SNES games more than 360 games now.

The Wii's VC allows you to download some SNES games.

'90s will always be the best. Mainstream music was usually better than mainstream music today, Clinton was pretty awesome and left the country with a surplus, wrestling was actually good, the economy wasn't in the gutter, people were less politically correct, etc. Good times.

How about video games?
