Nah that's ok, I'm only responding to the original OP question at hand, not the last commented! But, thanks anyways!

Welcome to the party. Please see the first 5-6 pages of comments. Thanks.

We have moved on to type of cars we want to buy.

That's what you get for scalping Wii U's! Scalping anything really! Serves ya right!

Probably about 28mpg, maybe a little less. I drive a good mix of highway and city currently.

I would be willing to bet if you drove my route you'd be closer to 15. What do you get on the freeway?

I got a little over $600 for one when all the craziness started. I still have the other one sitting down at Walmart that needs to be paid off with 310...hmmm, yeah the demand isn't there like we thought it would be!

FOGE says:
Depends on what you look at. I drive a GMC Terrain, which is a SUV, and get 20.1 mpg mixed. Thats a V-6 Terrain too. You can get a V-4 as well.

I got a 328xi 4 door and it's a sweet car but def not as good on the space as a Subaru. If we didn't have the Outback I would have passed on it because we need seats for 2 kids, a roof rack for out outdoor hobbies and the trunk space for 3 large dogs.

The 3 we have has been the best car I've ever owned, Mazda makes good cars. Of course a lot of parts on it say FOMOCO on it, but that's okay.

Yeah. It has more space than a car, but is smaller than a van/wagon. It is a hybrid type thing. We like it. :)

I would like a 3 series, but we test drove a 135i recently and fell in love with it. Baby seat won't fit though. :(

I'm embarrassed to say I finally bought a BMW 3 series. I tried so hard to be happy with a Subaru but I have to say the BMW does really well on gas especially if you use the cruise control. We also have an Outback though. 2 AWD cars are perfect.

Is that the 5 that's like a weird short wagon/mini-van or the new 5 small SUV thingie?

I bought my wife a Mazda 5 earlier this year because of the kids. We needed the space. I am quite happy with Mazda at the moment. :)

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 3, 2012 11:56:07 AM PST
I live in the city and only pull about 23 MPG with my Mazda 3 wagon, but an SUV in the driving I do would get about 9. It is the only car my wife and I have though, so it has to be versatile.

My neighbors up the street are not white and shockingly I think they're great ; ) I live in the middle of nowhere though so up the street is quite a ways. I drive about 30mins to work.

Yep, on the highway you're better off with a regular 4 cylinder or a small 6 cylinder even, you need power to cruise.

A Civic/Corolla does almost as good a Prius on a highway. I get 35 mpg on highway but 28 on back roads. Though I like the back roads, very woody and scenic, especially in the fall. :)

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 3, 2012 11:50:34 AM PST
ah. 99% of my travel is highway.

I was looking at hybrid because they excel at back roads with a lot of stop signs, which is what my drive is mostly made of. My friend has a Prius, it is a great little car. I also want a little car because I feel they handle much better, not too mention easier to park and clean. :)
