Unless the game you're playing requires two screens, of course. Other than that as long as you have access to an electrical outlet you can play Wii U games on just the gamepad.

Using a mobile?

Nope. Just copying and pasting that URL takes me directly to the IGN homepage. I assumed it was the "..." in the middle to blame.

Does your PC think it's a mobile?

Not sure, but my Mac thinks your URL is so very bogus.

Give him credit. It's better than the time he claimed his source was statistics, many statistics.

Ah, okay. Actually, now that I think about it, wasn't the Wii the same way? Since the downloads are so small, I never had any problem with just using the wi-fi though. My PS3 and 360 are hardwired, and still slower than crap but it does help a bit.

I don't think downloads will remain small, though.
Funny thing is that N Fanboys were praising nintendo for including an HDMI cable, while at the same time they're pulling a Microsoft by not including both WiFi and wired connections out of the box.

Does it offend you that the Wii U lacks an ethernet port? Are you canceling your preorder?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 8, 2012 4:21:58 PM PST
Meh, I use wireless on both my consoles and they are just fine. The 360 is faster but that is probably because the built in wi-fi is N instead of G. As long as this is an N adapter I'll be peachy. Also, I bet they'll sell an ethernet adapter too.

Flores is just finding things to pick at, it's payback for all the meanie-heads around here that pick on him all the time.

Yes, my Wii doesn't have an Ethernet port either. Honestly I don't see this as a big deal as I've practically always used the wifi on all my systems and never had any problems. The PS3 downloads take a while but that's not because it has a slow connection.

And yes. I am happy Ninty is including an HDMI cable with their new console. I've never owned one before and look forward to losing my HDMI virginity to the first console of a new generation.
