I bought it at a PS+ discount when it came out, played about four hours into the story and then stopped playing it. I've been looking to get into a good tactical RPG and am thinking of revisiting it.

For those of you that played it, how did you like it as the game progressed? How long did it take you to beat it?

Isn't that a character on My Little Pony?

DVvM says:
You're conflating Rainbow Dash and Nightmare Moon (née Princess Luna).

My bad.

J. Pardee says:
I bought the game and beat it. It's a fun game but the story isn't that interesting. The game requires a ton of grinding as well which can be off putting. I beat the game in around 50-60 hours but I also bought some of the DLC for the game. If you don't buy any DLC it will require more grinding.

I'm pretty sure conflating Rainbow Dash and/or Nightmare Moon is a felony in most states.

I played it and put about 20 hours into it before I quit. Story was very meh, IMO. Not a bad SRPG, but I'd rather play Disgaea for my SRPG fix.

A friend of mine actually got me Gungnir - Sony PSP for Christmas. I think that along with Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time - Sony PSP are all you need for SRPG's for a while. ^_^

How is Disgaea 4? I saw that it's just under $20 on Amazon now and was considering checking it out.

I really loved Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkyria Chronicles, if you can compare them to those at all. I've never played the Disgaea series.

Peter Faden says:
Disgaea4 is fun and pretty funny. Rainbow Moon is a game best taken in small doses. It's fun, but like J Pardee said, there is a lot of grinding. Also, it's very difficult to acquire enough pearls in game to max your abilities out.

Pingino220 says:
Story wise, WAY sillier the tactics. Actual gameplay wise for an SRPG it depends, way more customization in how you can fight but usually you'll stick to the non generic characters due to stats and special skills. Would pick up for $20 without a second thought if you don't mind buying DLC because there is a lot of it for more gameplay.

I have played, and have beaten Rainbow Moon. It's good, not amazing, but still good. It's also rather long for a 15$ (11$ for PS+) title, and well worth it. Be careful of hard mode though, it's called that for a reason.
