A Thief 4 reveal is on the cards, and ahead of that come the inevitable "leaked" screenshots. The reveal was set to be the main feature for Game Informer's April edition, but Russians don't care about that sort of thing, and have published the screenshots themselves.
As gathered from Russian website VK.com (spotted via NeoGAF), the screenshots line up with Game Informer's just-announced April cover reveal, and therefore they look like the real deal.

As reported by Game Informer:
Series hero Garrett returns to the Gothic, industrial metropolis known simply as the City to steal any and everything that will make him richer. Unfortunately, the City is broiling with social tension as it is ravaged by a plague and lorded over by a political tyrant known as the Baron. In order to survive his adventures, Garrett will have to pay attention to his environment and make use of the may possible paths through each of the game's levels.

Publisher Square-Enix plans to launch the game for PC, PS4 and other next-gen consoles in 2014.
You can see some typically thief-like settings, characters, and weapons. We're also immediately reminded of Dishonored, which may or may not be a good a thing.

Thief 4 was announced back in May 2009, and is supposedly in development by Eidos Montreal (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) which is most certainly a good thing. The game was also rumoured to be aiming for a next-gen release, which makes the timing just about right.

Also is this the first non-exclusive game announced that isn't also coming out to current gen?

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 6, 2013 6:52:10 AM PST
yes, but I doubt Diablo 3 will be a Sony Exclusive since its already on PC. Also if it was, Sony would definitely have said it was exclusive.
It'll also be on 720 no doubt.

Destiny will have exclusive content, but I don't believe that it will be exclusive to PS4.

Edit: Same cross gen type of thing though.. didn't realize it was coming out for 360 and PS3.

Diablo 3 is coming to PS3 and PS4 so it's crossing generations.

Reports thus far hint to Dragon Age 3:Inquisition being next gen only.

Yep. Seems publishers are getting bullish to move forward.

Wouldn't surprise me if Deus Ex :The Fall follows a similar trajectory since its hiring for development now.

Works for me, just a little surprising.

Yeah, not really too much of a problem for PC gamers who have a reasonable rig currently.

Yeah but the steam box dev kits coming out soon so now when the console comes out they can download it from valve.

Dragon Age 3 probably wont be on Steam unfortunately - it an EA game.
Hmmm - I wonder if EA will start using steam again actually with the release of the Steam box, or if they are still going to force Origin only for PC?

Wow, this looks A LOT like Dishnored.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 6, 2013 7:35:06 AM PST
Well in defense, Dishonored felt a bit like old Thief games. Kinda like how Tomb Raider draws from Uncharted which was heavily influenced by...well Tomb Raider.

Yeah, makes sense.

It's like a mind blowing circle of awesomeness for two reboots.
