I hardly see any cops around in my town, which is in Indiana. In my town, we might rarely see a cop car, but we don't see them too much.

Our culture of a few short hundred years? I think collectively as a society we should be able to move past guns eventually, maybe not now but..

I wish I had a picture of my buddy's "gun-tar" he made. He attached the guts of a PS2 Guitar Hero guitar controller into an SKS. It works as both still too.

That is awesome.

It's a simple equation.

Dudes + alcohol + sports + explosive force = Golf ball launcher

I have seen these. What is the point of this?

I think everyone needs the golf ball launcher attachment for an AR15 though.

NcStar AR15 Golf Ball Launcher (AGOLF)

In terms of "weapons average people shouldn't have," I find it difficult to get upset over my neighbors not being able to buy 40mm HE rounds.

If I remember correctly, a grenade launcher IS legal but good luck finding the grenades, heh.

EDIT: Yep, here's one manufactured by The Mako Group

How can one of the biggest arms dealers in the world lecture people on gun control?

Did you know most bulletproof things aren't?

Kevlar ain't gonna stop a 5.56x.223. Certainly not a 7.62.

If you are, either your should have aimed better, or you were frakked no matter what.

FOGE says:
The previous assault weapons ban lasted from 1994 through 2004. It defined an assault weapon as any gun that was:

- semi automatic, meaning one round is fired per each pull of the trigger
- used a detachable magazine

And featured any two of the following attributes:

- a folding or telescopic stock
- a pistol grip
- a bayonet mount
- a flash suppressor
- a grenade launcher

I bought a G23 around the same time. 2x10. I still only have those mags. I never did buy a hi-cap

Yeah I saw that on the news this morning.

On the one hand, I can't fault parents trying to keep kids safe. And if it saves a life then it's totally worth it. On the other hand, I think it's kind of unfair to the kids. You can't just not tell them it's a special bulletproof backpack - defeats the purpose. But you also can't explain it to them without putting a horrifying image in their heads of cowering behind that bulletproof backpack during a school shooting situation. I don't know.

Too bad he didn't do that in the privacy of his own home to begin with.
