I love dark souls. So many ways to approach that game. Changing weapons can totally alter your tactics and kind of make it a different game. I rarely replay games because there's always a new one waiting for me, but after beating Souls, I immediately rolled another character and started over.

Hmmm.
Super Mario Bros. was a significant game in setting up my lifelong love of gaming. However, playing and beating Final Fantasy was one of the most profound, defining moments for me as a young gamer. Both were probably the most influential on me due to my fondness for Platforming and RPGs. But the "greatest game of all time" has to go to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Doom above Halo, I'd say. I'll agree with you on the Mario 64 though. It wasn't the first 3D platformer, but it was the first GOOD 3D platformer.

In that case, Mario 64. Who wasn't amazed by open world 3D and analog? Simply from a technology jump, Mario 64 blew my mind more than any other game in history. Halo is second. :)

It seems to me a lot of people missed this in the first post.

Metal Gear Solid is my pick for the greatest game ever, but GTA: San Andreas is my favorite.

Yep, I agree. Mario Galaxy is a game I can't stop playing. I have gotten at least 400 stars and still love it. The game is perfection in my book. :)

Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Skyward, Resident Evil 4, FFT and FFVII all get props too. Superb games that I have played over and over.

Greatest? Such a difficult thing to decide....

SMB 3 is easily the most memorable for me....

Oblivion is a games I am still amazed about....

Halo 3 is a game I spent more time with and had the most fun with...

But the game I feel is the greatest.....based on story, gameplay and overall experience....Metal Gear: Solid
