"I'm guessing raising the baby is going to be passed onto Glenn and Maggie since Rick is probably in no shape to be watching out for a newborn."

Agreed. I think there is a good possibility this will happen.

Nah lol, Hershel's farm is a huge part of the comics though the character is rather different from the show to the comic. A ton of stuff that happens in Atlanta and leading up to the prison never takes place in the comics such as the hunt for Sophia, the bar scene with the two guys, and other stuff like that.

At this point I feel like the comics are basically providing us with locals and character references for how they should act but beyond that this is a completely different beast now.

I have yet to read the comics, but I've read bits and pieces on the internet about the characters and I thought I read about Glenn and Maggie raising somebody's child.

Wasn't sure if it was Lori and Rick's (Shane's?) child or someone else's.

Kinda like how True Blood now bears little resemblance to the Stackhouse novels. I have to tell myself those are alt universe stories so it doesn't screw with my head so much.

Ok, you've sold me! I'll read them on my computer, I managed to read all the Fruits Baskets manga on here, I can read these.

Yea they do in the comics and it actually lasts for quite some time too. I'm guessing we're going to see that element come into play with Rick's newborn and I'm guessing Hershel will be the one to present the idea. He seems to be the level headed one of the group at the moment and with Rick in his emotional state I'm guessing they will defer to him on stuff like this.

@ Smut Mommy

Pretty much though with some characters being in the show that aren't in the comics and vice versa it isn't nearly as confusing keeping the story lines separate. It actually makes the show way more watchable in my opinion because I don't know what is going to happen and often I'm caught quite off guard about how the show approaches things. I never expected Lori to die like that and I know the comics backwards and forwards.

Should I go back to edit my posts so it looks like someone else mentioned the comics first?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 14, 2012 5:17:00 AM PST
No, just edit the sentence to read "from the source that shall not be named..." instead of comic, and you'll be fine...

It gives it mystery...

Here's a possibly stupid question...

Are the comics all in black and white or are there some color pages? I got a paperwhite kindle for my birthday and was interested in reading these.

The Walking Dead

It looks like it is.

I downloaded the preview onto the kindle and it will either display it page by page or comic cell by comic cell.

Man it's becoming more depressing as the characters you liked keep getting killed off, I mean we only have what about six of the original group left?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 14, 2012 7:32:29 AM PST
Actually I was making a Star Wars Han Solo shot first reference lol, figured it might make me seem more likable on the forums if I wasn't the bad guy bringing them up first but rather just reacting to what others are posting thus forcing me to talk about them.

Yea my jokes don't make much sense at 2 am when I'm a little drunk lol.

If you find that depressing don't read the comics because you'll probably want to kill yourself.

It was good. Michonne is such a bad ass! I thought the phone was an interesting idea to bring Rick back to his sense's. Kinda saw it coming though.

I do find it interesting how the show can be so unpredictable. Merle running into Glenn and Maggie.

The Governor: Hey Rick, I'll trade you my Michonne for your Glen and Maggie.
Rick: Wha...who is this? How did you get this number?

Misfit says:
I was pretty surprised to see Carol alive. I think Merle did himself in by lying to the Govenor about Michonne. It seems this is moving in the direction I anticipated and soon enough we will see the prison crew going after Glen and Maggie. Very interested in seeing Daryl's reaction when he finds out his bro is alive. I WANT TO KNOW MORE!! Sucks half the time watching the show is Windows 8 commercials and Vodka.
