But $49.99 for the PS3/360 versions? That's lame.

Why is that lame? Should Capcom charge more? I think $40 is reasonable for a port.

I'm guessing it's lame because he wants to buy it for PS3 or Xbox 360.

"Real" consoles? Isn't the Wii U more powerful than both the PS3 and 360? Wouldn't that make it more "real"?

Same price as the 3DS version was at release. It's should be lower on Wii U as it should be using less of the systems resources to run only at the levels of PS3/360, just like the PC version.

Although it's an upgrade from the 3DS, it's still a lazy Gen 7 port for a Gen 8 system and PC.

Oh, well then don't buy it day 1 and wait for a price drop? Really this game on all systems shouldn't be over $40. Depending on how much effort is going into the port, I am not so sure it shouldn't be $30 across the board. I wonder if since Revelations was originally a 3DS game Capcom is throwing Nintendo a bone with a cheaper U price? Or maybe Capcom just doesn't think it will sell much on the U? Who knows. All I know is I love RE 1-5 and have never played Revelations. This is a day 1 pickup for me.

IMO, Revelations is the best RE since Code: Veronica. If you like the series, you'll definitely like this one. There is a lot of meat to the game too. I think I put over 60 hours into the 3DS version, maxed everything, got every S rank on every difficulty, plus the Raid Mode has random loot drops which is awesome.

You can get a CPP for the XL if you import one from sites like Play-asia.com or ncsxshop.com.

I would rather have it on the Wii U. I can wait, i had no burning desire to play the game to begin with.

I was just letting you know for future reference in case a game comes out that plays better with 2 analog sticks, so you don't have to wait for Nintendo of America to get off their asses and release it over here. The CPP also adds two extra shoulder buttons making the control schemes more like traditional controllers than a hand held. Plus it's really ergonomic and nice to hold for long times. The extra bulk really prevents hand fatigue.

you talking about the XL version cause, it's feeling in my paws is already bulky, it was one of the reasons I bought it... i didn't like the smallness of the 3DS... felt too small.

Nice, thanks for the information. I love RE:CV, fantastic game. I rebought it on the ps3 in HD. I recently went back through RE2 and RE3.

Fox, how does Revelations play? It looks third person to me like RE4, but you didn't like RE4. So it is third person but slower paced like the original?

Thanks in advance.

I was impressed with the 3DS demo. It just didn't like the prospect of using the face buttons for camera control and didn't want to buy the CPP for just one game. The console version fixes that, so maybe this'll be the first RE game I seriously play.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 14, 2013 8:46:59 AM PDT
Aren't all RE games accept the on rail shooters in third person?

Third person over the shoulder is what I meant, hence the part "like RE4". :)

MrFoxhound says:
It plays like a real TPS shooter. You can dodge, you can move and reload at the same time, you can move and aim and move and fire. It's like a real action/shooter game, instead of whatever RE4 was. Plus the dual analog sticks really open up the game. I had put nearly 8 hours into the game and almost beaten it before I got the CPP, that second analog stick and extra shoulder buttons really makes a huge difference allowing you to move one way while turning and aiming in another direction.
