Depends on the price and games.

From the rumors I have read so far, the PS4 or Omni, seems to be more interesting to me, but, I will probably wait a year till I get either one.

Probably both eventually. Probably neither at launch.

PS4 for me. I do not care for Microsoft charging you a fee to be able to use the free apps for watching movies.

PS4 on launch. Will probably get the new Xbox after a good price drop.

That could definitely be a selling point for me. If I need to pay MS for something that I could get for free from Sony, I'm going Sony.

It'd be nice to have some real info about either system before making my decision.

The one that offers BC at first, whether it be for physical games or from our digital libraries.

Neither at launch, i don't buy launch hardware at launch prices. Eventually both, but my Steambox is making a strong case now and in the future to take my time and wait for enough worthwhile exclusive games to accumulate. Game droughts are for the birds and we all have backlogs or missed games, the key would be to allow us to conyinue to buy these as they surely outweigh what the new platform can establish in its first several years.

There's a good point. I'm pessimistic about physical game BC for the simple fact that they would rather resell you those games in collections. However, I fully expect my digital libraries to carry over and I see no reason to reward a company that doesn't allow for that.

I'm pretty certain that will be Sony's route due to the architecture 180 they are doing. I have hopes i can trade in the old Xbox and play Shadow Complex, Castle Crashers, Trials Evo and the other 30+ games i have on there etc...on the next one. Who knows really though, all i know is my XBLA library is large and there is only so much room for consoles in the entertainment center.

PS4 no question. At launch will depend on the games, I didn't get a PS3 at launch either.

Xbox... probably not.

I have no clue, I will probably wait a year or two before i even consider getting any new console in the next gen. Depending on options and extra money i have to fork out will probably determine the path i take

Ill stick with Playstation after the first price drop

Posted on Dec 13, 2012 5:34:30 AM PST
I will get first which ever one comes out. Then I will get the second the first price drop. I kind of do hope the sony system will come out first just because if they do just as the rumors say I can be busy with that for a while.
