Awww... Legends isn't a launch title? That sucks.

Lol Shows you how closely I've followed the Wii U. I really want one, but I tend to wait about two years after a system launches to get a better price.

And it's beautiful to look at too. I'm going to say it will be the best looking WiiU game in the launch window.

Yeah it was. This is a day one buy now. That music level was beyond fantastic.

It's gorgeous, even better looking than Origins, and that is saying something.

I figure by early next year I will have 4 U games; Monster Hunter, Rayman Legends, NSMB-U and Pikmin 3. Pretty solid start for me.

Not getting the Deluxe?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 1:27:06 PM PST
OH, yeah I guess there is Nintendoland. I don't really count that as a real, some with Wii Sports. Outside Party Family Events, it probably won't get used.

According to the unboxing videos, Nintendo Land comes in full retail packaging. That means that once I try out the minigames a couple of times, it's probably getting traded in for something else.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 1:30:36 PM PST
Agreed. I can't see keeping it. I barely touched Wii Sports.

It's actually pretty convenient. I did the same thing with Little Deviants, and I got a pretty penny in store credit for it.

I never even thought of doing that. Not a bad idea at all! Use the credit for Rayman Legends pre-order or somethin!

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 1:45:13 PM PST
Yeah, I am hoping to get $20 for it, good down payment on something like ACIII.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 1:45:43 PM PST
Brilliant. Paper Tiger wins the thread.

"I don't really count that as real"

That's exactly how I feel about the Wii's sales numbers.

Cool story bro.

Paper Tiger did win this thread. I don't have Rayman pre-ordered yet, just MH and Pikmin 3. I will trade in Nintendoland day 1.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 2:12:42 PM PST
GarionOrb says:
Yeah, I'll probably trade it in within the week. I imagine there'll be a lot of that going on with that game.

Yet Nintendo will still count it as the "best-selling Wii U game" because of all the Deluxe Set bundles sold.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 2:14:07 PM PST
Yeah I don't get why anybody would get the normal bundle. For an extra $50 the deluxe just comes with a lot more.

Zen Kaizoku says:
Most persons who get the Basic bundle are probably those who missed out on getting a Deluxe set. You can think of it as a consolation prize.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 2:21:09 PM PST
GarionOrb says:
True, though that's kind of a raw deal. There's a pretty big difference between the Basic and Deluxe sets. Aside from the color (which makes a big difference to me, anyway), you have the storage issue. 8 GB vs. 32 kills it for me.

Paper Tiger says:
I changed my order from the basic back to the Deluxe a couple weeks ago at Walmart. I prefer white consoles but I decided the game and the 10% off download titles for 1 year was worth having another black console. Now that I'm contemplating unloading NintendoLand towards Rayman I think I made the right call!

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 12, 2012 2:35:56 PM PST
Zen Kaizoku says:
Although the white console would show up dust and fingerprints less, (trust me, lots of dust where I'm from) the black console just goes with everything in my setup. The white throws it off completely, I had a white launch Wii, so I know.

They're not going to give much for Nintendoland. It's a free pack in. Even on day 1 you might only get $15. And that's being generous.

Do stores even take games that are marked nfr?

Paper Tiger says:
Well we don't know yet if it will say nfr but Amazon does take them. I know because I bought a used copy of Fable 3 that was marked not for resale. NintendoLand is also a stand alone game so it might be worth more than $15 in the first 30 days or so and it's worthless to me sitting in my backlog unplayed. Mini games bore me for the most part.

I've gone so long without buying used games or trading but lately I've started. Too much clutter!
