Fox news isn't violent. It just makes ME violent... it brings out the badger-like rage I keep within.

For a news agency that is so pro-real violence, they sure do spend a lot of time focusing on the issue of fake violence.

FOGE says:
They are only pro violence if its in another country and poor people are doing the fighting.

Putting personal biases aside, it's clear that video games have become extremely violent in the last decade or so. That, at least, deserves to be acknowledged.

But, to blame video games for personal choices (something the article you linked to doesn't do), is foolish.

Clearly, though, the massive uptick in violence can have an effect on kids. It's important to monitor what your children are playing.

I'm not sure I'm willing to trust your opinion. It's on record that you have a very -sexy- learning disorder.

I would say they haven't gotten any more or less violent than they used to be. We can just show the violence better.

I'm pretty sure they are talking about Bulletstorm.

GarionOrb says:
Fox news loves to call out what they think are violent video games, but they don't actually do the research to see which ones actually are.

I don't know, man.

I don't remember any Bullestorm or GTA style games in the Sega days.

J. Pardee says:
Lego LOTR is VERY violent though. Heads get knocked off of bodies and people's limbs fall off and then get reattached. That's pretty gruesome.

I think life is getting too violent or maybe we are just seeing more violence.

Mortal Kombat was the enemy then. I remember Hilary Clinton attacking it.

I don't know, its contemporaries were Doom and Wolfenstein 3D.

Ya, but those were on PC right?

I don't think they were as widely played as MK.

FOGE says:
Yeah it really was. There is always a scapegoat. Back in the 50s, they blamed violence on comic books.

Doom at least was on most consoles at the time. It had a release on SNES, Genesis, CD, and eventually Saturn.

not those specifically, but we had Doom and Quake, And Mortal Kombat.
