Knives, strength, even a pen can facilitate any of those things as well. The gun is a tool, just like anything else.

Your opinions, in my view, are equally stupid.

We can just tax guns right? That means, tax more, people won't use them right?

<please don't answer this seriously>

I kill people all the time, with my good looks.

I should be banned, or at least taxed by Olivia Wilde. I could tax her all night.

Uncle Ulty says:
So robbery rape and murder could not happen if guns didn't exist? What did they call robbery rape and murder before guns were invented since they are required to commit those crimes? How exactly does legally owning a gun facilitate those things? Will your gun laws that you covet so much take guns out of the hands of criminals? Do you think the illegal market for dangerous firearms will decrease or increase as a result of such laws. Do you win most arguments by calling people "stupid".

These and other important questions on the next Voice of God anti-gun rant show!!!

Than I will answer with what Chris Rock said about charging a ton for the bullets. People wouldn't be shooting up everything if it costs thousands per bullet.

Yup, a gun is a tool that's specifically designed for killing and that serves no other purpose. That doesn't mean guns make the world a safer place. All it means is they make it a lot easier to kill people.

I think that's a bad thing.

If we tax guns, then they'll stop creating jobs.

Yup, everyone would be shooting each other with homemade bullets.

Nah, American's are too lazy. Perhaps the Germans would do that.

This is great. I don't even have to say anything. Or think it. Or agree with it. I just sit here and exist and then Uncle Ulty will imagine my opinions and ascribe them to me.

Target shooting is a recreational sport.

I'm not sure why you can't wrap your head around that.

Should ban bows and arrows while you're at it, even though archery is a popular sport around the world.

Nightmare says:
Legally speaking, Federal gun control laws are unconstitutional. Therefore, from a legal standpoint, this bill is illegal.

From a practical standpoint, law abiding citizens will own less guns as a result of this law. Criminals will not be affected by this bill. Making certain drugs illegal has not kept them from being sold, and Prohibition of alcohol didn't keep people from drinking. Naturally, "Prohibition" of guns will have the same effect. Law abiding citizens will be unarmed, while criminals will be well armed. murder, theft, and rape by criminals will be easier than ever before. They can be relatively sure that the home their breaking into has few to no guns, but since they are well armed they have nothing to worry about. As usual, gun control hurts the just.

Voice of god says:
Yes, the simulated killing of things is a recreational sport. I think it's stupid, but I never said it wasn't a thing people do for recreation.

If that's really a valid use of guns to you, then let's push for laws like Japan, where the only guns allowed for civilian use are rifles and shotguns for sportsmen. That's a compromise I can live with, but I doubt you'll agree.

Could you expand on this? Maybe show some proof?

Not according to our neighborhood anti-gun nut.

You should let criminals walk in and shoot up your family and then stab you, then toy with your corpses and steal your valuables.
