I saw a Ghostbuster's mashup with Gangnam Style around Halloween that was damn near comedy perfection, on Youtube.

I'm pretty sure someone here posted it actually.

It's Gangnamstein! Wow, Gangnamstein, I wish I'd have thought of that...

The Face Time subplot was pretty lame, but it was overall a solid episode. That was the first thing I thought of, too.

I have nothing but fond memories of Blockbuster. That said, I ain't goin' back. That's like going back to Jay-Z's version of "Renegade" after you've heard Bad Meets Evil's.

In the time it takes me to locate a Blockbuster to go rent from, I could be watching a movie on Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu.

That's not even counting the time it takes to actually go there and back. Or money for gas, or the inconvenience/late fees associated with having to return the movie by a specific day.

And that's not even counting the harshly bright lighting of their stores, the bland whitewashed interior, and corporate employees CONSTANTLY trying to push overpriced candy into your rental purchase.

Thanks but no thanks. Blockbuster can suck it.

the only thing blockbuster has the upper hand is bb has more choices for games and movies. and cheaper prices

In all seriousness it's about convenience. Even if it's a dollar cheaper or so I'm much less likely to rent from a place I have to physically return a disc to when Netflix streams directly to my TV. Redbox is more convenient because there's one in every grocery and Walgreen's so I pass by a box every day.

bec us north americans , canadians or even mexicans we have the mental thinking of gotta own it, gotta have it now, gotta purchase it day 1.

why do so if you can rent it for 2-4 days for a fraction of the retail price. smh on how company markets their products. brainwashing their customers.

I am quite fond of Redbox and Netflix...as well as Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Go FiOS On Demand, etc. Sorry man, but screw Blockbuster and embrace the times. I'm glad you're getting some good deals though.

just find one, use the store locator and zip code, theres bound to be one near everyone.

lets bring the blockbuster back.... just walk in a store and you will know the feeling of a video store again.

some new releases are 2.99 a day rent, but they have a promo 3 items, for 3 days. for $10, which is a good deal.

and screw redbox and netflix

In what Pre-Jurassic age did you find an open Blockbuster?

edit:
On a related note, I've had nothing but good experiences with blockbuster. Great selection, $8 (don't know if it still is) for unlimited game and movie rentals? Done deal!. But man, I'm currently living in Maine and there is this little store called Bull Moose. Went in there the other day and picked up Princess Mononoke, Pi, Invader Zim season 1, Donnie Darko, Leon: The Professional, Howl's Moving Castle, The Boondock Saints Unrated, and AVP for $5.
