Graphics processing in a computer graphics apparatus having architecturally dissimilar first and second graphics processing units (GPU) is disclosed. Graphics input is produced in a format having an architecture-neutral display list. One or more instructions in the architecture neutral display list are translated into GPU instructions in an architecture specific format for an active GPU of the first and second GPU.

Cool, but will it be easy to develop for? What made the 360 such a great console was the ease of development. :)

LOL. Do arcades still exsist? I loved them as a kid, but for the life of me I don't know of any in this day and age. :)

Until you showed up anyways...

Maybe not. The next Xbox is said to have two different GPUs. It could be that Sony is planning something similar.

Oh nevermind, for some reason I read this as Sega and not Sony.

Hey, you didn't copy/paste your response, that's a start (though still not a very original one).

But, honestly, what's the point of the op? Do you know?

EDIT - we'll all wait, while you desperately search the internet for a nonexistent answer

so the PS4 architecture can play PS3 games?

It means that that the game's assets would be produced in such a way that two GPUs that work very differently could use them at the same time. Say you have two different GPUs in your system. A developer could put lighting and particle effects in one GPU's workload while the other GPU draws polygons (as a basic example.)

Yes, do you?

Or more to the point- why are you always such a douche? Are you not having a happy holiday season?

So, 6 SPU's and 2 GPU's? Devs would be super thrilled about that.

I notice you choose not to answer the question.

Still, this is the second day in the row you sniveled about copy/pasting articles. Does that offend you? It seems to be on your mind a lot.

No, I don't even know who he is other than he seems to have a problem with me and rather than having it out he chooses to go all passive/aggressive.

I'm having a wonderful holiday season, much like every other season, and it's made more enjoyable when I get to read unintentional forum parodies such as yourself pretend to be ''in the know,'' by scouring the net for articles to copy/paste. It's amusing, so thanks.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 21, 2012 10:37:01 AM PST
But I am not pretending to be "in the know." I saw the patent application from a company that happens to be a major player in the video games industry and posted it here for discussion.

However, you have told me quite a bit about yourself-

You have no profiling skills

You do not have the guts to just tell me why you have a problem with me so you do this passive-aggressive thing which makes you look very bad.

You are too afraid to answer direct questions.

You make me laugh.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday season.
