"After the game's box art was shown off earlier this month, some fans weren't impressed and Irrational is now letting them vote for what they'd like to see on the other side."

Nerd rage is alive and well, and effective, apparently.

Kirksplosion says:
lol, pretty funny that they have one that looks like the standard cover, but with Elizabeth and a different background tossed in.

Yeah, this is why democracy in America can work.

I think it will be funny as hell if the fans vote for that one.

Here's where you're supposed to vote, but the site appears to be down at the moment:

#6 will get my vote. Really dig that one.

#4 looks really nice, too, but the sketchy, cross-hatching style here looks a little too unfinished for my tastes.

Edit: I don't know...the more I look at #4, the more I like it...

I think the concept of reversible cover art is simply the best.

I think I like 4 the best. Reminds me of Resistance 3's cover.

I also like 2 because it feels like it could be an in-game poster.

Nice - 4 is leading with 6 just behind it. In fact, those two have 75% of the votes. I'd be perfectly content with either.

3, 4 or 6.

#3 is awesome, but it would be better if the girl wasn't in it and there was a burning American flag in the background.

Seriously - the original is still the best.

I feel like writing a nasty letter to BioWare - that whole ME3 ending thing has opened up an obnoxious can of worms.

Can't see, but I would love to have the cover to just have the huge mechanical bird flying over the floating citadel(how I think of it in homage of Dragonlance).

#6 for me followed by #2

#4 looks good but the ones I mentioned above are images which we have come to expect of the BioShock world.

I hope they have the same picture, but with the guy looking up instead of down and having that 1920's America is better than any other country in the world look. Or more of a Zap Brannigan confidence look.

Soulshine says:
I agree about the art style - maybe a watercolor print and keep the sky blue instead of the sketchy cross-hatch on the red-orange. I just like the subject of #4.

I like that these play on a few different things - the relationship between Elizabeth/Songbird or Elizabeth/Booker, the vibe in Columbia with the scared little kid picking up the hat, etc. I like 4 the best becasue it makes Columbia itself the main character and that's kind of how I felt about the first Bioshock and Rapture.
