Not shocked. I never believed the U would have strong third party support, given Nintendo home consoles haven't had good third party support for almost 20 years now. I bought a U for Nintendo software and have a 360 for third party titles. To play all great games, one must own all systems. :)

How harsh the developer was, and how excited that guy asked for it :(

Kinda sad even the Japanese 3rd party publisher support is not there for this year. You would think Nintendo would've gotten them dev kits early enough to make this one possible. That or Konami is refusing to invest in a small userbase atm.

Any games that have been in process for the past year or two without Wii U builds taking place simultaneously have little to no chance of seeing a Wii U release. The game would never be completed in time for launch and third party retail video game sales are so heavily front loaded that late to the party ports tend to sell embarrassingly low and have to compete with already heavily discounted versions on other platforms.

Apparently my question ruffled some feathers. Some cowardly, childish feathers.

Gearbox had no issues releasing on 4 platforms, with just as enough time to build a Wii U version as anyone else.

Its not just Castlevania LOs, no MGS Revengeance, No DMC, no RE6... Japanese publishers are slacking on the Wii U.

D_Strasse says:
But the dev is polish isn't it? Konami would have do to the port themselves, a la Sega and bayonetta. Maybe they just don't have those resources yet.

Perhaps. They are the publisher though, they the ones to arrange those things and make those decisions. The whole point of the Wii U architecture was that it facilitated side by side 360 development.

MrFoxhound says:
They can always port at a later date. Just look at how it went with 3rd party games between the 360 and PS3 and there was a year difference there.
