Didn't expect RE6

I'm literally disgusted that Warfighter managed to break the top ten and X-Com didn't.

Video game community you have failed.

Sad about X-Com, happy about Dishonored.

Pretty damn impressive that Pokemon is standing in the top ten since it's only available in the 3DS/DS platform, while the others are multi-console.

RE6 ahead of Dishonored?

Shame on gamers. Shame on them.

Looks like those stupid ads trying to get the GoW/CoD fans worked, because RE6 looks like a HORRIBLE RE game.

I thought AC3 sold 3.5million copies in it's first day?

My sentiments exactly. Firaxis gave us a completely unique, brilliant game, yet gamers opt for the same old shit. It's disappointing.

Uh, isn't that a remake?

No. It's more of a re imagining. And even if it was a straight HD remake, its not like they're releasing these games every year, or even every three years. The original XCOM is almost 20 years old.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 8, 2012 6:18:53 PM PST
It's beyond disappointing. The team made an incredible game which not only stays true to the original but also manages to update the gameplay in a way that feels right. Very little was lost moving from original to this new release and as a fan of the original I couldn't have been happier with how this turned out.

Any developer out there who thinks "Boy wouldn't it be awesome if there was a new version of __________?" and then decides to make that update needs to play this until their thumbs bleed so they can figure out how to properly update a series without crapping all over the original.

Yes I'm looking right at you Syndicate because you suck!

It's really sad that so many would rather buy a lousy game with mediocre reviews over Dishonored and XCOM.

Just goes to show that the majority are indeed wrong.

Well, in mass media you're generally more financially successful making banal crap for the lowest common denominator than something of quality that requires something from its audience.

That settles it, XCOM is my next game.

I'm going with Resident Evil 6.

I'm trying to help out the good games that aren't selling as well, not the eh games selling better than it deserves.

Good man, wish I had another million just like you.

Ha, actually speaking of cost of games XCOM should have pulled a Rayman Origins. It seemed like every week they were announcing a price cut for that game. It kept headlines for the game in the gaming press for a while and kept giving frugal gamers a chance to buy it.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 8, 2012 8:10:25 PM PST
I think once the DLC gets out the door they'll go that route and I'm sure we'll see it big time on Steam's holiday sales.

Rayman Origins worked, I've got two copies of the thing and couldn't be happier! One on the Vita and one on the PC. Holy crap does this look amazing on the PC. In fact I may go play some right now lol.

I don't know about those XCom numbers. They sold out of copies on day 1 at my local Best Buy (both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions). I had to drive an hour to another Best Buy and they only had 2 or 3 copies left. Not to mention that probably doesn't count Steam numbers and I bet the game sold really well on the PC.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 9, 2012 6:07:16 AM PST
But for all you know they had 4 copies to begin with.
