The identity of the traitor is not known by the players until the Haunt is chosen.

(The specific Haunt scenario will describe how to choose who the traitor is, generally, but not always, it will be the player who triggers the Haunt.)

So when the traitor is unveiled, it's unveiled to the entire group, not just the player of the traitor character, yes?

The game instructs the traitor to leave the room, so the other players can read through their objectives together in one book while the traitor reads through his or her objectives in the other book. Then when you're done the traitor comes back and you finish the game.

That sounds alright. I just hate those games where one or two people are randomly chosen and their success hinges on how good a liar they are.

Eclipse and Mage Knight, both mentioned in this thread, are on there. I'm definitely interested in that Mage Knight game. Just wish it wasn't so damned expensive.

Balderdash, pictionary, and Taboo are my favorites. All are better with bourbon involved.

I have many fond memories of Axis & Allies marathons . When I was in my tech-school in the Navy and couldn't leave base, we'd hit the commissary to load up on snacks, and then head back to barracks and rewrite WW2 all weekend long. EPIC!

I received a Pokemon Monopoly set last week for real cheap, had all the pieces, too.

I'm a big Scrabble nerd.

I love some euchre, but no one I hang out with knows how to play. We would play at family gatherings when I was little.

I've been interested in getting Dominion. Agricola has had my curiosity piqued as well.

Rofl we had this equation too. As the judge, I picked "The South" + "Sassy black woman" = "Road head"

If you like pictionary and burbon, I suggest Tip Of The Cup Don't Drink And Draw

Game is awesome. You get a thing/person, place, and action to draw. And then go around guessing each others, getting points for someone getting yours right. The one I remember doing was Shaq skydiving over Mt. Everest. There's some pretty raunchy stuff included as well... and I believe there's something about taking shots every round, though we'd drink at our own leisure.

I love euchre. Played a ton in high school in Illinois so yeah, seems to be a Midwest thing.

Favorite board game is Risk. That game can get intense.

Last board game I played was "Ticket to Ride" with three players. It was good fun but I'm not that interested in playing it again. However, in general I prefer quick and easy games with luck counting as much as (or more than) strategy. And yeah, Monopoly is too long, even without inventing rules.
