My parents got me some designer clothes, as they do every year.
My gift at the office was a six pack of beer.

That's a waste of $30. Most Gamestops still have this game new. Hopefully for the additional $30 you got the artbook that originally came with it?

You'll have to tell me how V/H/S is. Heard good things.

I received:

A nice corded craftsman drill and bit set
A bunch of BBQ crap (injector, another thermometer, $50 to local butcher, and more)
Clothes, Tupperware, etc.

I went out today on my break and bought my big 'present' with my Christmas money/gift cards - An Acer 27" monitor.

No clue, and my Gamestop didn't have it when I checked online, new OR pre-owned.

At least I'm getting the GBA version of Super Mario World!

MrFoxhound says:
The GBA was such a great system, that I didn't even mind being called a Trekkie when I had it on my belt and it looked like a tricorder.

lol, I thought that you were replying to Bitter's question of what scent of cologne.

Yeah, my favorite handheld, and might eventually beat the SNES for my favorite system, just need a LOT more for it.

That is an awesome gift, Punk! :D

The games I received:

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
El Shaddai: The Ascension of Metatron
Dead Island GOTY
Spec Ops: The Line

Couple other nerd gifts I received - Lord of the Rings Extended Editions on Blu-Ray and The Walking Dead comics (Compendiums One and Two).

Also got Forbidden Island. Tried it out last night, and it's really fun.

MrFoxhound says:
You should get Ninja 5-0 for it. I think that is one of my favorite games on the system, along with:

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonence
Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars (Even if you don't like strategy games you should try this one)
Boktai 1 & 2
Wario Ware Twisted (My favorite game on the system)
Klonoa: Empire of Dreams
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Shining Soul 1 & 2 (like Phantasy Star Online, but local co-op only)
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lotus (great game, job system, another strategy game, but it's really good)
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

Wow, Konami dominated my favorite GBA games.

Minish Cap is the best handheld zelda title ever. You'll really enjoy that one.

MrFoxhound says:
I think that Link's Awakening DX is still the best Zelda hand held title ever, but Minish Cap is definitely second.

Anthony says:
its Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis. damn good game though. one of my favorite ones on the GBA. he should also check out the two Fire Emblem games for the system. I still hope that they localize and port the first 6 games in the series onto a handheld over here.

Anthony says:
Minish Cap's a decent game. very little replay value, but other than that, pretty good.

MrFoxhound says:
Ugh. Fire Emblem. I played both of those games only to get to a battle near the end and not be able to beat that battle. Seriously, that fog killed the first game for me. I was cruisin' through it and then that fog showed up and just ruined the game for me.

As far as the spelling, that was my phone's auto-correct.

Cinema Fan says:
V/H/S is pretty good, except the "Tuesday the 17th" segment. "Amateur Night" and "Honeymoon" are by far the best segments. Radio Silence's "10/31/98" is awesome too. Of the 5 segments, one sucks hard, the rest are decent to awesome. Ti West's Honeymoon is brilliant. The guy's got a lot of talent and is on fire for the horror genre.

Looking forward to seeing his work in the ABCs of Death.

Rest of the family came about 6:00 P.M Christmas and finally finished the rest of the present giving and receiving

Gift Card for $250 dollars for Sears
Games:
Super Mario Bros 3D land and Super Mario Bros.2 for the 3DS
Sports Champion 2 for the PS3 Move
Clothes.
I did receive about five other games but sadly and regretfully I had to tell the gift giver I already had those games but was still thankful for the gift.
