Why this game didn't sell 10m copies on the Saturn and harken a golden age of brawler RPGs with fighting game mechanics, I will never understand.

I bought this the first day it came out on XBLA. Good game.

I think the saturn only had like a 15m install base
Did treasure games even come out of Japan?

A friend of mine had Guardian Heroes on his Saturn and it was in English. Apparently it was pretty rare though.

I can see no good reason for owning a Saturn and not buying Guardian Heroes other than "I couldn't find a copy.

Everyone. Must. Buy. This. Game.

Best five bucks you'll ever spend. Get Gunstar Heroes while you're at it too. And Ikaruga. and Bangai-O. And Radiant Silvergun.

I just picked it up...I'll get around to it eventually....

Guardian Heroes is much more accessible than Bangai-O and Radiant Silvergun, for what it's worth.

Everybody should buy Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, and Ikaruga absolutely. But Bangai-O is really quite difficult.

Oh,for sure, I'm terrible at Bangai-O, but the more money that goes towards Treasure, the better the world is.

Guardian Heroes still ain't a cakewalk though.

Buy this, then go order a copy of Code of Princess. Gaming bliss.

I bought it! But I probably won't play it until the Spring... my traditional "XBLA Backlog cleanup" time.

Is this game cool like Halo 4?

The XBLA port is worth it even if you own the original game. Besides the graphics they revamped the combat system and implemented online multiplayer among other things.

I bought it the second it came out. I have it on Sega Saturn as well, but gotta support these older games being re-released. I want Dragon Force re-released!

It is cool but not like Halo 4.

It is cool like street fighter II meets TMNT Arcade

After playing Code of Princess will this feel like a step backwards? I already know the outfits will be ;)

It's only for Gold. Definitely not worth it.

Not at all. If you ask me, Code of Princess was a step backwards from Guardian Heroes, at least when it comes to gameplay.

So I did play it... and it was hard. I was really bummed out that your stats only stay increased for that playthrough...
