This was shared by my local news/talk station. It's really worth a watch if you've got 2 minutes.

It was either get his registration or feed his kids? I find that incredibly hard to believe.

Believe it or not, some people really don't have much money to their name.

Voice of god says:
This guy got a $100 bill just for that?

Maybe I should start feeding my kids.

If he's crooked, he's doing it wrong. I think the cops are supposed to take the bribes, not give them.

I picture the creepy Burger King King reverse pickpocketing them and running away.

That guy went to prison, and is now busy stealing knee pads and lube.

I think its more like he reverse pickpockets, but since there isn't any money to actually give back, he just shoves his hand in their bung holes.....

Well if he's making a ton of money by screwing people over, he could feel bad about his terrible life and give 100s every now and again to citizens.

how did he know he wasn't bluffing?

I think cops have a knack for sniffing out lies. Regardless, it was a nice gesture.

Even if you're making minimum wage, renewing your registration is only once a year. Hopefully this guy doesn't have cable or satellite at home, an xbox with a live sub, the newest iPad with 3G service & the iPhone 5 because that would just be appalling

Don't you think that before they decided to produce this story, the news outlet checked the facts to make sure it wasn't a case like the (hypothetical) one you're describing?

And, at minimum wage, vehicle registration is expensive. Case in point: my car is five years old and the registration cost $84 this year. That's a full day and a half of earnings for someone making minimum wage.

This is what I'm interested in, as well. We don't know either way.

Like I said, I find it incredibly difficult to believe that the only option he had was to get his car registered OR feed his kids.

LOL, Cops make alot of money. Hope the Traffic Ticket was not turned in else ithe $100 will not help him with the cost of the ticket and future cost of insurance.
