Actually Spec Ops was one of those games I was really curious about playing but not so curious as to pay money. Perfect.

Just The Cave for me this month. That's a good pick up, though. I'm pleased.

Hell yes, Disgaea is one of the games I've been really wanting on the Vita. And with Spec ops, perfect! I heart PS+!

I do wish I had waited on Spec Ops. I paid $15 for it and sold it for $9 after playing through it. It was a worthwhile experience, but not one I cared about keeping, which makes it perfect for PS+, IMO.

"Renewed for Spec Ops "

Not worth it, IMO. Kind of sad that Sony is calling this the "revolutionary shooter that took the genre in a new direction. "

I'll be getting The Cave though. Other than that, it's a slow month.

Well from the impressions I heard it actually was kind of revolutionary and definitely went in a direction few games went. They also said it wasn't a great shooter but there are tons of great shooters so being a great shooter is hardly a new direction.

Spec Ops has a great story. Loved it and I hate most military shooters.

MrFoxhound says:
That direction was shoehorning you into a spot where the choice is already made for you and you attempt to "live" with it. Honestly I had little idea what was going on with the story until I saw the loading screen captions. I don't get why everyone gives this game so much credit. I made worse decisions in that game other than the one the game forces on you that I would have made anyway just because I have little regard for video game life.

Also The Cave is really new to be on this list. Makes me wonder if the initial sales were really rough.

I'll be picking up Spec Ops and Disgaea 3.

I played Spec Ops on Xbox360 and sold it afterwards, but it will be worthwhile to play it again.

Kin-foot says:
Not sure why you so against that "shoehorning" scene. Many games do this, just about the whole FF series or Portal doesn't give you "choices" yet still have amazing stories.

Or even MGS!

Kirksplosion says:
I don't know about revolutionary, but it took a very different direction with, not just the genre, but gaming narrative in general.

It's a good shooter with great voice acting, and a neat narrative twist. The "twist" takes at least two-thirds of the game to get through, but you kind of need that first two-thirds for it to have much impact. I'd say the game was "neat". Not incredible or revolutionary, but it was very neat.

MrFoxhound says:
Because the game was touted as being about choice, and the most pivotal scene in the game, the crux of the writer's entire point, is completely mandatory.
