It was at one point. Dunno why it isnt now. Maybe it was only free if you were a beta tester. Cant say for sure.

Why are they mostly discounting games from 2005 and earlier? I have not heard of almost any of these steam sale titles, and when I click on the links I get screenshots of what appear to be Super Nintendo RPG's. Is there a specific day when they will be discounting the AAA budget, multiplayer titles from this generation?

Gamefly has XCOM for $24.99, cheapest it's gone so far I think.

The funny thing is I don't remember him being a troll on his original name. He's undergone quite the transformation though.

Tempting, but I can hold out for lower even if it doesn't come on this sale. I already have too many games to play as it is.

He's been posting loads of negative crap lately. I've tried to help him out several times in the past on other threads, but I'm done.

If anybody is looking for a cheap but fun action game, Caster is on sale for 99 cents.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/29800/

It's a third person run-and-gun with RPG elements. You cast magic as your weapon and shots can alter the landscape. It will never win any awards for graphics but the action is quite good with lots of fun boss battles. You can play with a controller but the mouse/keyboard combo is so much fun here.

I've been MIA all day because of RL stuff, did I miss anything shocking?

Hmm, the fact that the Walking Dead is showing as 50% off for the Community Vote makes me assume that's as low as it will go during this sale. Too bad.

So are there any achievements for this sale?

A few of the packages have been good, like dawn of war, otherwise there hasn't been many must have items on this years sale. The discounts aren't as good this time.

It seems to be more of a "You might have missed this game, so here's a deal you should be interested in." Current example is Dead Island GOTY for less than 7 bucks. It's just that most of us have a lot of the games we want already so there's not too much to look for except the rare indi game or something.

Had to delete the post above because was on a different account. People really need to log-out of their account when they finish.

That's what I've been doing. Grabbed Krater, Dear Esther, Legend of Grimrock and Botanicula on the cheap. Love these indie games on PC!

If there is anyone who is looking to get Grimrock, reminder. Humble Bundle has that game as a kicker and the average right now is only around $6.40.

A tip for anybody who got Saints Row The Third from the Humble Bundle- Amazon will sell the Steam key for the season pass for $5 either on Christmas day or the day after. I think all of the DLC will be discounted as well.

Make sure to join in on the Grimrock thread!
