Others have even formed due to certain cultures of particular websites and/or forums (such as the VGF). Whatever the origin, meaning or purpose, most internet memes are quite funny.
That being said, I've launched this very same thread elsewhere and it has caught fire. Knowing that VGF'ers like nothing better than to apply memes where and whenever they see the opportunity, such as the immortal: "because you touch yourself at night" I'm doing the same here.
So here are the rules:
#1 Read the rules. (Duh) I mean, come on...
#2 Post as you customarily would, except ensure the inclusion of a meme.
#3 No repeats of already used memes, as this is a test of your creativity, re-using the same old ones would show that you clearly have none.
#4 As stated in the post above which you probably didn't read, you illiterate you, any memes from any source would be accepted. Especially those born of video games.
#5 Try to be as creative with your post as possible, the meme on it's own would be... well... BORING, so attempt to bake it into your post, so that it appears as a natural part of it. If you manage to do that, well then - A Winner Is You!!
#6 Speaking of that, there are no actual winners or losers of this game, but... yeah you'd be a loser in my book if you don't even try. I did originally plan to have rewards... well I had cookies, but I don't know where they went, okay? NO COOKIES! Got it? Good.
Lastly here's a video that helped spawn the inspiration for this thread: http://www.gamespot.com/shows/gamingmeme/
Right then. On your marks, get set....
Go. Get. Your. Meme. On.
