Earlier this year (April) I went out and bought a 3DS. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Zelda: OoT and Mario 3DS and a couple DS games but after that, it began to gather dust until I finally sold it on Craigslist along with all the games I had bought with it. I saved the money to buy a Vita but I was a little apprehensive because there still seems to be a great deal of negativity surrounding the Vita. the number 2 complaint (number one is the price of memory cards) is the lack of quality games over the 3DS but when I did a Metacritic search I discovered this: In 2012 (the year the Vita came out) the Vita had 31 games with a Metacritic score above 75 compared to 3ds' 23. It had 34 games that scored between 50 and 74 compared to 3DS' 36 and 5 games in the 1-50 range compared to 3DS' 7. That's a total of 70 Vita games to 66 3DS games. Am I missing something here?

Just that you sold a system that has the gamez for a system that has no gamez.

I think there should be a law that anybody who buys a 3DS should also be required to buy a Vita.

That Emu Kid says:
You're missing the Mario factor. Vita doesn't have any games with Mario in them, so therefore it doesn't have as many good games.

Fact.

Console wars rule #372: One Mario game is equivalent in value to 100 games of the same quality on a different system that don't have Mario in them.

Some would argue quality>quantity. I for one have no need for 70 Vita games nor do I need 66 3DS games. If I had to pick one portable right now, I lean towards the 3DS for Bravely Default, with some Mario Land on the side. Having said that I am waiting to see how my ps3 games support cross buy. Of course I am also waiting to see if Bravely gets a NA release. If it doesn't, then my desire for a 3DS dies off rather quickly. For me I tend to look at the top few games, not the entire lineup. Granted my gaming time is limited. :)

IMHO, quantity is silly to me. A system having "X" number of games that I can't afford and don't have the time to play is irrelevant, unless I am missing something.

So true. Poor Mario I am so sick of him. Luigi's Mansion and the Yoshi game should be a welcome relief.

The 3DS has the definitive version of MGS3 so it automatically wins over the Vita.

I'm so hoping that Nintendo does the right thing and we get a 3DS XL Luigi's Mansion 2 bundle.

Anyone remember how annoying Yoshis Island was? That game was like a giant condom ad! I mean it was a big add for condoms, not that it was an add for condoms of enormous size. That would just be weird.

I'd love to see a green, purple or green/purple 3DS XL in that bundle.

At no point in your random incoherent rambling did you say anything that could resemble a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I currently own 10 3DS games that I enjoy playing (Currently playing Harvest Moon, Tales of the Abyss, and OoT MQ). I own 3 Vita games, and one of those isn't even here yet (stupid shipping!!). Honestly, most of what I play on my vita consists of Breath of Fire 4, Xenogears, and Treasures of Montezuma Blitz.

Aw, crap. Flores and I agree on something. One of us should probably rethink our position.

I never actually played it. I'm just hopeful and glad that's it's not another Mario platformer.

@MrFoxhound I think that they will do a bundle like that but most likely not in NA lol
