Motion controls are great. They made me finally play Zelda. Zelda with old controls is boring.

They aren't. It was a joke. I posted a news video about the original NES back in 1991.

I wanted to play NSMB. Shipped from Newegg and UPS showed scheduled for delivery yesterday. I waited and they never showed. About 10:00 last evening I walked out to the front porch and when I stepped on the welcome mat, I heard something crunch. The UPS driver had put them under the mat with nothing showing. Fortunately they didn't break, but I didn't have time to play at that point. I assume the UPS driver thought he was doing good since a lot of packages get delivered this time of year, but not really smart on his part as they almost became useless.

I played a decent amount of NSMB-U last night with the wife. Overall I am very impressed with the tablet, it offers some very cool gameplay features. Graphically, the game is fantastic. Sharp/clean and clearly a huge leap for Nintendo. The U does what I wanted. Color me happy. :)

Gameplay is what matters to me. The big arsed tablet controller is nearly as retarded as the motion controls on the Wii were. Like I said before, if they fix it so that the regular controller works 100% of the time with 100% of the games, then I might eventually get a WiiU when it comes down to a reasonable price, because I miss my mario and zelda. But until then, I refuse to support the idiocy that is touch-screen controllers. It's a pointless waste of development time and hardware expense for something I can't stand. The WiiU shouldn't cost more than $199 for the 32gb version. Get rid of the touch screen controller and just give me a 32gb WiiU with one of the regular non tablet-sized controllers, and maybe a copy of SMBWU for $30, 100% compatible with the non-tablet controller, and I'll bite. Hell, I still play 8-bit games on my old modded Xbox via Emus, and those graphics are nausea inducing at times, but those games have some awesome gameplay.

It's sad that people prioritize hardware and graphics over gameplay. I mean, to CERTAIN degree it matters but I swear, some people bought a Vita just so they could stare at the OLED screen and feel dual analogs on a portable.

They do.

Unless YOU are the one that owes THEM money.

What's the big deal about graphics. I praise graphics when it's due, but it really isn't that bothersome. I'm playing Zombiu and the graphics aren't that great, but it really is a fun game. It's not like I'm stopping mid-game and staring at the zombies thinking how bad the graphics are. Who really does that? Anyways, I'm to busy running for my life in th egame.

Why is graphics so important to you? The fact that you can play on two screens is way more important.

Based on fun? Yes. Who cares about graphics if the game isn't fun. I don't like FPS games.

Agreed. The gameplay videos leave a lot to be desired.
