You know, like Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess .. Ocarina of Time at to some point. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy Wind Waker and it's sequels (well, maybe I didn't like Spirit Tracks that much), or Skyward Sword, but they don't seem to match that really mysterious feeling you get with different art styles and themes.
Well, that's just my opinion, what about yours?

I would absolutely love another dark Zelda game along the lines of Majora's Mask.

I know! I know!! The first time I saw the moon in that game I knew it would be stuck on my head forever.

I think it's DEFINITELY time for a more realistic Zelda in the vein of Twilight Princess!

I think they should do another Zelda game in Termina. They could still figure some sort of dark theme to it, just not have the Moon fall.

"I think it's DEFINITELY time for a more realistic Zelda..."

ABSOLUTELY!

"in the vein of Twilight Princess!"

Oh, nevermind. TP just didn't feel like a Zelda. SS, however, felt a lot more similar to me.

GarionOrb says:
But SS wasn't a more realistic, or as the OP says, "eerie" Zelda...

But it just didn't feel like a Zelda to me, more like an action game that just happened to have a character that looked like Link in it. If it wasn't for Midna, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did. That's one character I would like to see in HD, however. If I was to pick a dark Zelda, then give us an HD MM.

I know that this isn't the most popular opinion to be showing a dislike for a Zelda game, but it just didn't have the atmosphere correct to me.

GarionOrb says:
Really? I loved TP! Granted, it was the first Zelda game I'd played since A Link to the Past. But when I finally got around to Ocarina of Time, I was immediately reminded of TP. I loved how much more expansive TP was!

Oh, I can def see where it was good and I don't regret getting it at launch. Maybe if I had played it on GC would have improved my opinion. As a followup to WW and with the pedigree that I was expecting because I was thinking it would be like have an epic quest like Ocarina... It was fun, it just didn't feel like what I was looking for. I might give it another shot to see what I might have missed.

I just want Zelda period. There hasn't been a home console Zelda that wasn't superb. :)

I'd like Zelda II a whole lot more if it wasn't so brutal.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 6:10:51 PM PST
You know, the Cd-I could be considered a home console. Just sayin.

We do not speak of the unholy Triforce.

It was a home console. I had it my home and everything.

Yeah it is tough, though still stellar. As for the cdi, nobody in their right mind counts those. They weren't developed by Nintendo. I think Nintendo actually denies their existence. Lol :)

Knowing how hardcore Nintendo guards their key franchises, I really wonder how they could've possibly agreed to those CD-I games. And the Super Mario Bros. movie, for that matter!

Nintendo was desperate for a CD add-on for SNES and wanted to part ways with Sony.

Oh man such a terrible movie. Yeah I don't get how Nintendo gave up their Zelda rights for those three titles. :)

Anybody remember that power glove movie with the kid from the Wonder Years?

I want another game like Wind Waker in terms of visuals...

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 6:46:02 PM PST
Heck yeah, I do. The Wizard convinced me to get that glove. I got trolled.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 6:50:45 PM PST
I don't see how. The movie said outright that the power glove was so bad.

I don't know why I hang out here, it's like being in a retirement home.
